Fall’s Hottest Trend: Shades of Beige

One of the most prominent fashion trends in quite some time has been the move to more minimalistic styles – and with this, has come a strong neutral color pallette – in other words, shades of pale beige and nude have been absolutely ubiquitous on the Fall/Winter catwalks. While the shade of beige may vary, the look is always the same – and it’s always head to toe.

Micheal Kors made the look fresh with bundles of chunky knitwear coming in scarves, sweaters and hats. The above look shows a chunky, off the shoulder swearer worn with a floor length skirt in the same shade of beige – the metallic belt completes this look. Marc Jacobs went for a very feminine look throughout his collection for his mainline, and teamed a long neutral-toned skirt with a lighter, floaty shirt and some cutesy ankle socks to polish off this lady-like look.

Creative director at Chloé, Hannah MacGibbon offered up a lesson in how to wear beige – almost the full show was composed of creamy caramel shades – this look above was one of the stand-out numbers – a full length, body hugging catsuit made complete by a tan waist belt. Phillip Lim added layers to his beige ensemble for his 3.1 Phillip Lim line, this look above appears unfussy with a simplistic, structureless nude dress paired with a long soft coat which was worn with lavender shade tights and chocolate brown heels.
