People loooove to watch creepy things on Halloween!

Saw 3D, the film's seventh and (hopefully) final film in its franchise, was the #1 movie this weekend, taking in $24.2 million.

While the film definitely made more than last year's Saw VI's $14.1 million, it was only the fifth highest-grossing film out of all the Saw movies.

Paranormal Activity 2 went down a notch, taking the #2 spot in its second weekend, with $16.5 million. In just two weeks, the film has made $65.7 million, which is a HUGE number, considering the film only cost $3 million to make.

Summit's Red remained in third place with $10.8 million while Jackass 3D took a pretty big drop, plummeting 61% with $8.4 million.

Matt Damon's Hereafter dropped 47% and took the 5th spot with $6.3 million.

Yikes.

Way to go, Steve Sanders!

America's favorite '90s d-bag character, Steve Sanders Ian Ziering and his wife Erin Ludwig are going to have a baby!

The original Beverly Hills 90210 alum says he and his wife are expecting in April. "Erin and I are very excited to be parents. It's something we both have always wanted. [Erin] is four-and-a-half months along, and we both are beyond excited."

Congratulations to the happy couple!!

On Friday we saw photos of the very pregs Alanis Morissette lookin’ fabulous in Beverly Hills, CA earlier this week … but today we get to see new photos of Alanis and hubby Mario Souleye Treadway maxin’ and relaxin’ on holiday in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. It would seem that Alanis and Mario wanted to escape the Hallowe’en craziness of SoCal this weekend for the sun and surf South of the border:

Look at that bump!! Alanis looks amazing! I had wondered if Alanis was planning on dressing up at all this weekend to partake of the various Hallowe’en festivities this weekend and I guess I got my answer. I can’t say I can argue with the couple’s decision to pack up their baby bump and take a vacation. I really can’t get over how great Alanis looks as a pleasantly plump mommy to be. I hope the growing fam has a great time in Cabo together :)

Jon Stewart's Rally to Restore Sanity and Stephen Colbert's March to Keep Fear Alive drew almost 250,000 people to the National Mall in Washington D.C. on Saturday.

Appearing live on Comedy Central and on satellite broadcasts in 20 different cities, such as in Los Angeles, Chicago, Austin, and Boise, the three hour rally mostly consisted of satire and comedy with humorous sketches and surprise musical guests such as Kid Rock, Ozzy Osbourne, The Roots, Sheryl Crow, Tony Bennett, and Yusuf Islan, the former Cat Stevens.

However, it took a serious turn in the end when Jon Stewart made a speech saying these are "hard times, not end times."

He added:

"This was not a rally to ridicule people of faith or people of activism, or look down our noses at the heartland or passionate argument, or to suggest that times are not difficult and we have nothing to fear. They are and we do.

The image of Americans that is reflected back to us by our political and media process is false. [Americans hear] how fragile our country is, on the brink of catastrophe, torn by polarizing hate, and how it's a (Read more...)

Yesterday was Day 2 of this year’s EPIC 3-day Hallowe’en weekend and David and I spent the whole day with our BFF Darion. As you can see from the following photo, I was dressed up as Super Mario all day long:

And David was dressed up as Luigi:

And in costume, we made our way to the movies to see SAW 3D:

Speaking of SAW 3D, I have to say … it was pretty good. While the film’s storyline wasn’t the best (I mean — that fact, you prolly already knew), I have to say that seeing the death scenes in 3D was pretty rad. We all enjoyed the film very much:

It was very disconcerting to have the traps come out of the screen and into your face as if YOU were the one being tortured in the film. The SAW movies have been pretty much the same cringe-worthy fare for years but adding the 3D element and putting the viewer in the hot seat was a convention that worked very well.
