Catholic Church: New Confession App For Your Phone!

Who needs the judgment of a priest when you can just use your phone?!
Ha! This is TOO bizarre!
After Pope Benedict XVI's recent World Communications Address emphasized the importance of the church acclimating to the new, digital world, an iPhone application is set to be released that helps Catholics " target="_blank">prepare for the sacrament of confession!
Described as a "personalized examination of conscience for each user," the app has even been sanctioned and approved by a church authority!
Patrick Leinen, who helped create the new tool, explains:
"Our desire is to invite Catholics to engage in their faith through digital technology. Taking to heart Pope Benedict XVI's message from last years' World Communications Address, our goal with this project is to offer a digital application that is truly 'new media at the service of the word. We hope many more will take advantage of this new confession resource."
However, don't expect absolution from your iPhone. The app is not designed to substitute for actual confession, but instead an aid to help Catholics through the act.
