(HMG Celebrity News) – Double congratulations to Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, who are celebrating their third anniversary this weekend, and also became parents to twins, a baby girl and boy.
Carey gave birth via C section Saturday at noon EST, at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles.
Their baby girl was born first and weighed in at 5 pounds, 3 oz. and was 18 inches long. Their baby boy arrived at 5 pounds 6 oz and was 19 inches. Neither child has yet been named.
Mariah’s rep, who confirmed the births to The Associated Press, said that they listened to Carey’s “We Belong Together” after the children were born. New daddy Nick took to Twitter to share the news. “My wife just gave me the most incredible anniversary gift ever in life!” Carey and Cannon wed April 30, 2008 in the Bahamas, following a whirlwind romance.

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon welcomed their baby son and daughter today - on their third anniversary no less! April 30 was quite the day for the family!
The legendary singer delivered the babies just after noon today in Los Angeles.
Carey's rep, Cindi Berger, said the baby girl came first, weighing 5 lbs., 3 oz., and was 18 inches; her brother was next, at 5 lbs. 6 oz., and was 19 inches.
As for the twins' birthday, Nick seemingly called it.
"I'm not trying to be psychic, but we renew our vows every year so ... It's probably going to be in the hospital this year. I can feel it," he said Thursday.
"We got the minister coming in. This gown will not be a wedding gown, but a hospital gown."
Carey's rep tells People "she's doing great" and that the whole family were listening to Carey's "We Belong Together" after the children were born.
Those two kids are gonna have some awesome lullabies in the coming years. Just saying.
Asked if the birth was planned for April 30, Berger said: "No, not even Mariah could plan that. But I spoke to both of them and they are overjoyed."

What a great week for Rob Lowe.
He appeared on Oprah, his HIGHlarious TV show Parks & Rec is climbing in the ratings, and his new book Stories I Only Tell My Friends was released.
Speaking of which, Rob signed copies of his book at the Barnes and Noble in the Grove in El Lay on Friday and we hate to admit it, but he's starting to kinda look his age.
He's probably just had a busy couple-a days and sure, he's super tired, but he still looks WAY hot! Especially since he is 47-years-old!
No matter how old he gets, he's still going to be a good looking man.
Whatever you're doing, Rob, just keep doing it.

Sometimes life is stranger than fiction and that is SO very much the case when it comes to the trainwreck of a life lived by Lindsay Lohan. Director Ben Rimalower and performer D’Arcy Drollinger have created an off-Broadway show called Project: Lohan that takes the found text of Lindsay‘s actual words and turns it into entertainment. Project: Lohan debuted in NYC last night and promises to give a fair but funny portrayal of the young girl’s very messy life. In real life, TMZ is reporting that Lindsay has decided to plead no contest to the misdemeanor charges of theft brought against her. If she does plead no contest, that would mean she would need to serve that 120 day jail sentence that she got slapped with a couple of weeks ago. Might Lindsay be ready to take responsibility for her actions? Is that even possible?
La MaMa E.T.C. presents the world premiere of Project: Lohan, written by D’Arcy Drollinger and directed by Ben Rimalower, April 29-May 8. Playwright Drollinger plays Lindsay in a cast that also includes Clayton Dean Smith, Brandon Olson, Cindy Goldfield, Emily McGowan and Brian Reiss. We can't believe how fresh and alert these two look after their big day!
Newlyweds William and Kate spent their first night as a married couple at Buckingham Palace after a long day of celebrating and partying all night.
The couple were seen strolling the Palace grounds on the morning after their wedding before thanking the staff and taking a helicopter to their next destination.
Were they flying off to their honeymoon??
Nope.
According to a Palace press release:
"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen not to depart for a honeymoon immediately.
Instead, after spending the weekend privately in the United Kingdom, The Duke will return to work as a Search and Rescue pilot next week. The locations of both their private weekend and their future honeymoon, which will be overseas, will not be disclosed in advance."
Hmm, very interesting.
Even though they're royalty, we like that they still remain down-to-earth. Nothing like getting back to their real lives!
But, after all those wedding preparations, you two deserve a break! Hope you take some time off and celebrate each other!
