Dennis Hopper’s estate bumps price of late actor’s home 25 percent to $6.5 million

The late Dennis Hopper’s Venice Beach compound is back on the market, but now for $6.5 million. This new price, despite bleak times in real estate sales, is an increase of $1.4 million – more than 25 percent – on the original asking price. And that can’t have been that appealing to buyers since the house didn’t sell. This spread itself hasn’t changed – it’s still 10,000 square feet of living space, which includes a main house and three two-story condos.
Hopper died of cancer over a year ago and since then his kids and widow have been battling it out. You’ll remember the actor filed for divorced from his fifth wife while on his death bed. Seems it didn’t sit well with her and it’s been apocalypse now for all involved in his estate. The Hollywood icon appeared in over 200 films and television shows over his career and is best known for directing and starring in 1969′s “Easy Rider.”
