NBC must REALLY be hoping that their new TV series The Firm is a success. After all, they've already picked up 22 episodes and it's not even on the air yet.
The new drama, starring Josh Lucas, Molly Parker, and Juliette Lewis, based on the best-selling John Grisham novel, debuts Sunday, January 8 at 9 pm ET on NBC.

Courtney Love has decided to take another under her wing.
Courtney has taken the reins as LiLo's sobriety coach. She said she did because nobody else will.
Sad.
The Hole singer says that LiLo has it worse than she did because she didn't have to deal with tabloids and gossip sites.
Courtney's M.O. is using her experiences to educated Lindsay.
She recounts a lesson she gave the starlet:
I went up to Lindsay's room one time and there was a show on called '101 Celebrity Oops' and I am like every other one, you know - boobs out, legs everywhere, throwing s**t at Madonna, you know, whatever/ I'm like 'Lindsay, look! Drugs are bad!
Courtney also stated that she started drugs because of hubby Kurt Cobain. She says that she was "more or less clean" but when Kurt got famous, she went along with the ride.
Courtney also claims she's been sober since 2005.

Last night, Anderson Cooper inducted Jennifer Lopez into his Ridiculist, due to her latest controversy in dating one of her backup dancer. JUST KIDDING! She's been there, done that, currently making the sequel to that one. Now, the scandal in question is actually her new Fiat commercial, in which she is seen driving through the streets of the Bronx.
We all know now that it wasn't Jenny from The Block cruising in her old neighborhood, but rather a body double. All of her scenes were actually shot in Los Angeles.
The shame!

Back in July, we heard that Sam Raimi was planning a remake of his 1981 horror cult classic The Evil Dead!
We were kind of excited about it, especially because we'd heard that Sam was talking about making the movie for a low budget, just like he did for the original!
Now, we're hearing that Sony Pictures has made a deal to distribute the flick, which is being put together by FilmDistrict and Ghost House Pictures.
Here's what producer Rob Tapert had to say about the project in a statement:
"For 30 years, Sam, Bruce and I have been looking for the right home where we could return the deadites to the big screen. Amy Pascal and Jeff Blake at Sony and Peter Schlessel at FilmDistrict have always been incredible partners who share our passion for great storytelling as well as our obsession for scaring the pants off the audience. Together, we are looking forward to terrorizing a whole new generation."
While we often have mixed feelings about remakes, we're definitely curious about this one. We like the fact that the original Evil Dead team (including Bruce Campbell) is involved, and we're also (Read more...)
