Today is Oprah Winfrey’s birthday and we should send her lots of birthday love…it has been a big year for Oprah and regardless of what people think of the big O – she is one major icon. Read on for more details about what she has been up to the past few months.

2011 was definitely a defining year for Oprah. In May last year she signed off on the final episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show. She tried to make her own network take-off and find an audience but that didn’t really take off. Then she announced that is now planning to make her return to TV with a new talk show. There was also all the silly rumors about her being B-Jay’s baby, Blue Ivy’s, godmother too…

Born January 29, 1954 makes Oprah 58 today – she has achieved some pretty massive things in those 58 years. Whatever people think of Oprah, no one can deny that she has done A LOT!
