YES!!!! Our hearts are filled with so much joy!!! Another step closer to equality for all!!!

Last night, in a packed public gallery, the Washington state Senate passed a bill to legalize same-sex marriage! Should the bill be approved by the house, Washington will be the seventh state of the union to allow gay and lesbian couples to get married.

An uproar of applause erupted in the gallery as the Senate passed the measure on a 28-21 vote. What was AMAZING was that four Republicans crossed party lines and voted with majority Democrats to get the bill passed. See! They're all not that bad! LOL! (We kid, we kid.)

Now, all eyes are on the House, which is expected to approve it and could take action on it as early as next week.

We're overwhelmed with joy! Such a wonderful moment for the gay community of Washington. They should feel very proud to live in a place where their voices are as equally heard as the rest of their fellow citizens. And a HUGE congratulations to the Senators who voted for the passing of this bill, putting equality above any personal pledges.
