Yesterday the National Football Association and NBC issued apologies for the middle finger that singer M.I.A. threw up during Madonna‘s Super Bowl XLVI halftime show on Sunday. Today, we are hearing that M.I.A. is apologizing as well … er, sort of. M.I.A. hasn’t actually issued an apology herself but sources close to her are reportedly saying that she is sorry for the incident, revealing that the “unfortunate incident” was the result of “adrenaline and nerves”. British rapper M.I.A is said to be blaming ‘nerves’ and ‘adrenaline’ for her controversial rude gesture during a performance at the Super Bowl yesterday. The singer – best known for the hit song Paper Planes – flipped her middle finger and swore into the camera during her rap solo as over 100 million fans around the world watched the performance.
