Or so we hear. Truthfully, one can never know for sure until you hear it straight from the person themselves.

So fess up, Halle Berry! Did your man put a ring on it or what?!

A couple of weeks ago, it was a widespread accepted fact that Halle had accepted a proposal from Olivier Martinez right after Christmas. Then we found out that they weren't engaged; Oliver just had given her a nice chunk of bling as a X-Mas gift.

But NOW, Halle and Olivier ARE engaged, getting ringed up right after the start of the new year. But there is a hitch to getting hitched - marriage would mean moving to France with her daughter Nahla to be with her new husband. You can guess who would have a problem with that!

But will Nahla's poppa Gabriel Aubry get his way? It will be hard for him to argue having his girl stay in the US if her mother is in France, married to a new man ... and has full custody.

Just when you think the war couldn't get an uglier. At least there will be a pretty wedding to look forward to!
