At least someone is doing something about this!
Last night, Larry King held a telethon on CNN to raise funds for three amazing charities who are providing aid in the Gulf. The spill has left a lot of people and wildlife stranded and the money that was raised last night will surely be put to good use.
Helping Larry out was a slew of celebs including Ryan Seacrest, Nicole Richie, Kathy Griffin, Ian Somerhalder, Chelsea Handler, Sam Trammell and Ke$ha! Look, she washed her face…sort of!
In total, the telethon raised over $1.3 million for the oil spill relief! Fantastic!
If you didn't donate last night, make sure to look into ways to help the relief effort in anyway you can. This spill is devastating and anything you can give or do will be much appreciated.
Bravo to the celebs who donated their time and talent to such an important cause!

At the 18th Annual A Night at Sardi's, which benefits the Alzheimer's Association, celebs came out in droves to lend a helping hand (aka pose on the red carpet).
Guests who attended the event at the Beverly Hilton on Thursday included the mighty fine Chris Pine, Ashton and Demi, Seth Rogen and his lady friend AND Seinfeld alum Jason Alexander.
You're not gonna get a more eclectic turn out than that! Glad to see everyone is doing their part!

Wayne Coyne, the frontman for The Flaming Lips, is trying to get Justin Timberlake to star in the band's new movie.
Justin famously played the bass guitar with the band during Top of the Pops back in 2003.
Coyne is looking to tap a number of celebs for their follow-up to 2008's Christmas On Mars. He explains the his wish list for the cast and how it will take considerably less time to create (as opposed to the seven years it took to make Christmas On Mars):
"I'm in the process of begging [Timberlake]. If I'm lucky I'll be able to wear him down in another year. [I want] celebrities to show up and have fun with us for a couple of nights…
"My only goal was that I didn't have to build space station-looking sets every time I wanted to have someone say something. This one is set in someone's house, a backyard and a slaughterhouse; all those are available to me right here."

We had such a magical evening at Sir Elton John's Oscar party on Sunday night!
It dizzies us to even attempt to describe the evening!
But, what is most important to share with you Perezcious little gangsters is that all moneys raised from Elton and his husband David Furnish's party go to the Elton John AIDS Foundation, which has done SO MUCH good for over 15 years now!
Poppa Elton is always so kind and amazing and the ultimate host! We had the bestest bestest time at his party!
Seated at our table was Anthony Keidis of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Joaquin Phoenix, who looked great clean-shaven, as well as the gorgeous and generous and truly special Diana Jenkins, plus several power gays we had the pleasure of meeting. We had a great time chatting with Anthony about music, our mutual love of French singer Soko, and the state of the record business.
Nicole Richie came by and joined us for a brief debate on Uffie vs Ke$ha, and we got to chat with her for a while about her life and our life and how we've both changed and grown (Read more...)
