Oh no! This is awful!

Walgreen Co. announced today that a list of customers' e-mail addresses have been compromised due to a hacking into their databases, and are now warning customers to not respond to any e-mails from the 'company' that ask for credit card or Social Security numbers, as well as any other personal information!

According to an e-mail statement:

"We want to assure you that the only information that was obtained was your e-mail address. Your prescription information, account and any other personally identifiable information were not at risk because such data is not contained in the e-mail system, and no access was gained to Walgreens consumer data systems."

Phew!

Similar incidents have also happened recently to the McDonald's Corp. and Gawker.

Just terrible! We're just thankful that the hackers couldn't access anymore private information than they already have!

Hopefully whomever's behind this will be caught and dealt with accordingly - and soon!
