Kelly Clarkson has today unveiled her latest music video for her new single, Dark Side, and it is an intimate and emotionally driven portrayal into what appears to be a nod to Kelly’s past, and also just honest universal issues. The song opens with the lyrics, “there’s a place that I know, it’s not pretty, very few have ever gone..” and proceeds to show a young woman facing issues including an eating disorder, pill and alcohol addiction and a relationship breakdown, but it ends on a hopeful and inspiring note. “Everyone’s got a dark side, no one is picture perfect…will you love me, even with my dark side?” Kelly sings in her new single, Dark Side. With very little makeup on, the video shows a pared down version of the two-time Grammy winner.
Kelly is a beautiful woman and has openly discussed issues such as bullying and weight issues and debuted a gorgeous new look at the Billboard Music Awards where she performed. On Tuesday we learned that Space Exploration Technologies successfully launched the first privately owned rocket into space. The SpaceX mission is to launch the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket into space so that Space Capsule Dragon could be delivered to the International Space Station currently orbiting Earth. So far, the mission has been a rousing success. Space Capsule Dragon successfully “landed” at the ISS and just completed docking. History, folks, was made again today. The SpaceX Dragon capsule has just been successfully “captured” by the International Space Station. This marks the first time a commercial craft has ever landed at the ISS, as well as a huge step forward for private space flight … the capsule was grappled to the Station by a robotic arm … It has been a little over three days since the Dragon was launched by a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral in Florida. The launch was delayed several times but finally occurred on the morning of May 22nd. After that, the Dragon’s flight progressed smoothly, and it was cleared to approach the ISS. Rolling Stones magazine today reported that Detroit rapper Eminem has started work on his next solo record. The album will be his first solo venture for a few years, since 2010′s Recovery, and will be the followup to Hell The Sequel, the debut from his collaborative project with Royce da 5’9″ in the form of Bad Meets Evil. In the mean time Eminem is also completing work on a new album from the hip-hop group Slaughterhouse, which is due out June 12th. Are you an Eminem fan?

Yesterday was a nice, chill day for me. It was a non-run day so I got to spend some time doing other things … like hanging out with my friend Tony, who I hadn’t seen in ages. Tony and I grabbed a late lunch/early dinner at Joan’s on Third so that we could catch up on one another’s lives. He and I are going to try and reconnect for another hang sesh next week. Last night, I chilled on the couch and just relaxed. I wanted to save up my strength because today I’m taking a drive up to Bakersfield to see Morrissey in concert!
Y’all know how much I love Moz so it shouldn’t really come as a big surprise that I’m trekking out to see him. He played San Diego earlier this week on his birthday and then he plays Bakersfield tonight … no LA date so, road trip for me. Honestly, I’d drive almost anywhere to see the man in concert. He is truly one of my fave performers and I will never tire of seeing him in concert. I can’t wait!!

E! News has confirmed today that the British beauty, Keira Knightley is engaged to her rocker boyfriend of a year and a half, James Righton, of the British indie rock band, The Klaxons. Keira and James have been together since 2011 after being introduced by a mutual friend and within weeks became inseparable, moving in together, and keeping a low profile as a couple. The two rarely attend celebrity events together but are reportedly extremely tight, and now engaged to be married. Congratulations are in order for these two young lovebirds.
Unsurprisingly, there aren’t many details yet since the engagement is still very fresh news and also because Keira is known for being a very private person, choosing not to take part much in the media crazed industry which she is a part of.
“I can confirm that Keira is engaged to be married to James Righton,” Knightley’s spokeswoman said, declining to give any further details.
E! News broke the story but we don’t know when or how the proposal took place, and subsequently of course there isn’t any indication yet about a possible wedding date. I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t hear much more from the (Read more...)

Britney showed up at the auditions yesterday in a beautifully hawt pink dress and she immediately sent fans into a tizzy. To be honest, I knew she was going to bring the heat on this first day of auditions but I know there were are great many people who doubted her. As soon as she stepped foot out of her SUV, all those concerns disappeared and pretty much everyone agreed that Britney looked amazing … and ready to get down to work. AARP The magazine has today listed their top sexiest men over 50. This was their criteria: All candidates had to have already turned 50, and be proud to both admit their age. Of course they needed to simmer sex appeal, but they also went beyond the physical and judged for brainpower, sense of humor, individuality, artistic ability, generosity and goodness of heart. They have not listed the stars in any particular order, but rather come up with their top 21 and some runners up. The list includes actors, musicians, a cellist, TV news anchor, politician and even a paleontologist. See if you agree with their choices. Who would you have as your top 10 sexiest men over 50?
