24: The Movie, has been shelved and Kiefer Sutherland is PISSED! It all started with budget issues, but now things are getting personal!
Kiefer and producer Brian Grazer thought the film needed AT LEAST around $40 million, but Fox wanted to shoot the project with a budget in the low $30 millions. Kiefer wanted to paid $5 million; Fox wanted to give him $1 million.
Money rules the world!
Overall, Kiefer and the talent attached to the 24 movie felt disrepected and ignored by Fox. Sources say that the budget and personal problems could affect Kiefer's other Fox show, Touch, as well.
Can Fox and Kiefer make up? Or this relationship headed for disaster?!

Sorry Jack Bauer fans!
Under threat of an impending terrorist attack It looks like pre-production on the highly anticipated 24 film has ground to a screeching halt.
Apparently, negotiations between FOX, the filmmakers, and Kiefer Sutherland have been convoluted at best, with all sides not being very clear with each other.
Like most arguments in life, this one boiled down to $$$, with FOX allegedly wanting to keep the movie budget under $30 million, while the film makers asked for $45 - $60 million.
And supposedly, Kiefer was insulted when offered a paltry $1 million in a deal that would have garnered more reward with the film's success.
This film was supposed to start production this March, with Antoine Fuqua directing and Keifer Sutherland reprising his ass-kicking role.
Ugh, Money, money, money!!!
It's sad no one involved could set aside their feelings over the reduced sums - that any normal person would be happy to accept - simply for their love of entertainment and the fans who pay their salaries.
No worries, though...we're just waiting for the day they announce production for 24: The Musical!!

The actor's beautiful face has been absent from Hollywood since 2010 when he appeared on 24 and an episode of Psych, but sources have confirmed that he's starring in an untitled comedy pilot.
The single-camera show revolves around a shy woman working at a company called Pharmville (guessing a pharmaceutical company?) who gets dumped by Freddie's character after a 2-year engagement. The show also features American Reunion star Mena Suvari who is making her own resurgence into the spotlight this year with a slew of projects lined up.
Hopefully the show will take off because we'd love to see this 90's heart throb back on top! Are U excited to see Freddie Prinze Jr. back on television?

Keifer Sutherland fans pulled through!!
His new show, Touch, raked in 12 million viewers during its early preview, scoring a very impressive 3.9!
Touch retained 61% of American Idol viewers, making it the best dramatic retainer after Idol… like, ever.
Good to know Keifer can still touch so many with his acting… bet he’s celebrating now!
Jack is SO back!
Last we heard about the upcoming 24 movie, producer Brian Grazer had confirmed that it would be released in 2012!
Now, we're hearing that The Wolverine writer Mark Bomback's screenplay will be complete by the end of the year, and the GOAL is for the film to start shooting this spring, once Kiefer Sutherland becomes available.
Awesome! We can't wait to see what kind of IN-TENSE situations Jack Bauer gets into on the big screen!

Guys, we don't know if it was the music or the editing or just the sheer joy of watching Kiefer Sutherland back in action, but this trailer just gave us chills!

The 24 star is returning to FOX next spring, starring in a brand new thriller-drama called Touch. We could attempt to explain the premise to you, but we think it would be better for you to see for yourself what's to come. It looks really epic!

We were thrilled when we heard the news of Kiefer Sutherland once again teaming up with Fox for an epic series of a show!
After 24, we wondered what else the man could properly do with his time, but he found it with Touch.
Like we told you before, the new series deals with a father learning his mute son has a very special and unique gift.
And Kiefer couldn't be happier with the new project, saying:
After 24 I didn’t expect to be back to television quite as quickly as I have. It was an incredible experience and I really wanted some time to digest it and there was more to digest than I thought. There were films I wanted to do.
I got to about page twenty five (of the Touch script) and I remember I put it down and just said 'sh*t' there's no way around it, I have to do it.

All right! Could lightening strike twice for FOX?!
The network has reportedly picked up the new Tim Kring pilot Touch, which stars 24's very own Jack Bauer AKA Kiefer Sutherland as a father who discovers that his mute son possesses a unique and incredible special gift, for a 13-episode midseason order!
According to the official press release:
At the center of TOUCH is MARTIN BOHM (Sutherland), a widower and single father, haunted by an inability to connect to his mute 11-year-old son, JAKE (David Mazouz). After multiple failed attempts at keeping Jake in school, Martin is visited by CLEA HOPKINS (Gugu Mbatha-Raw), a social worker sent to evaluate Jake’s well-being. Everything changes when Martin discovers that Jake possesses the gift of staggering genius – the ability to see things that no one else can and the patterns that connect seemingly unrelated events. David Dayan Fisher, best known for his roles on 24 and NCIS, was arrested yesterday after allegedly attacking his neighbor over - get this - a disagreement over swimming pool towels!
According to authorities, the actor allegedly hit and choked the victim. He's being held in jail on felony battery charges.
Good!
We don't care how heated that ridiculous argument got - he has NO business putting his hands on anyone!
Unbelievable.
