When 3-D was new on the cinematic scene, it used to provide a major boost to the movie’s box office performance. It still does that, but at a lesser intensity, as everyone now knows what a 3-D movie is all about and so the viewers’ interest is falling in this technology. So everyone could do with a little freshening up of things and director Robert Rodriguez has done just that.
The fourth installment of Rodriguez’s Spy Kids franchise will have a brand new 4-D feature that will reignite the cinemagoers’ interest. But what exactly is a four dimensional movie? A new ‘smell’ feature powered by something called “Aroma-scope.”
Speaking in an interview with MTV, the Desperado-director explained, “Instead of just going 3-D like we did on the last one, we brought in 4-D, which is a very fun gimmick that I found in this old movie in the ’80s. It’s kind of a scratch-and-sniff [experience] and you get to be really, almost like a video game, interactive with the movie. There are some really surprising smells, and some of the biggest laughs come from that.”
This means that the cinema audience of “Spy Kids 4: All the Time in (Read more...)

The novelty of 3D isn't going anywhere anytime soon, huh? Oh well!

And when did that happen?!
Although Michael Bay once claimed that 3-D technology was a fad and went on a diatribe regarding the glasses, the director has changed his mind.
It seems Transformers 3 was shot on 3-D cameras as he's completely changed his mind on the matter.
Bay said:
"Wow, I read these morons on the internet who think they are in the know. 'We have problems with our 3-D????' Really? Come into my edit room and I will show you beautiful 3-D. There has never been a live action show that has pushed the boundaries of 3-D like 'Transformers 3.' We shot the entire movie with 3-D cameras. I actually loved shooting in 3-D."
Wonder what changed his mind.

No 3D vampire c-sections for you!
A representative from Summit Entertainment has confirmed that the final films in the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn, will NOT be shot for 3D!
Phew! The only thing worse than KStew's stuttering, lip-biting FUG would be having to endure it popping out at us!

If this is what it's going to look like, we can't help but wonder how the hell they snagged not only him, but Natalie Portman, and Kenneth Branagh as the director! Ha!
We guess we'll have wait for the trailer.
What do U think?? Is Thor going to be as shiteous as it looks?

This is getting to be too much!
Several theaters are planning on charging $20 for for adult tickets to IMAX showings of "Shrek Forever After" in 3-D.
The change in prices haven't officially been announced, however, the new prices were already posted on the movie ticket site Fandango.com.
This comes just eight weeks after theater operators raised prices as much as 26%, which was the steepest hike in the past decade.
The question is whether or not people will be willing to pay these high prices.
BTIG LLC media analyst Richard Greenfield states:
"With the state of the economy remaining questionable, we worry pricing is simply moving up too quickly. The danger is scaring consumers away from the movie theaters."
Sure, slap a 3-D logo on it and raise your prices! This is just another ploy that movie studios are doing to make mediocre films and take all your money!
What do U think? Would you pay $20 to see Shrek 4???
