Seems a little late to latch on to your sisters' fame to get an acting career!

Maybe she's trying to do it the legit way!

The Olsen Twins' younger sister, Elizabeth Olsen, has been cast in the indie film Martha Marcy May Marlene!

The movie, which is written and directed by Sean Durkin and also features Hugh Dancy, Sarah Paulson, and Brady Corbet, involves a young woman who escapes a cult and moves in with her older sister.

Sounds like some pretty heavy shiz! It will be interesting to see how the Olsen does with that kind of material!

Mary Kate Olsen admits childhood was hard

[HMG] – At the age of just 24, Mary Kate Olsen has had a life most people could never imagine. Or want. She started performing at just nine-months old and has hardly stopped since. But she admits such early fame has taken its toll.

Her first role, along with her sister Ashley, was as ‘Michelle Tanner’  from the ABC comedy, ‘Full House’ back in 1987. She now describes the two of them as ‘little monkey performers,’ but has no regrets.

“I look at old photos of me, and I don’t feel connected to them at all,’ she told the Mail. ‘I would never wish my upbringing on anyone,  but I wouldn’t take it back for the world.”

And the two sisters have handled fame differently – While Ashley’s life has been reasonably calm, Mary Kate’s history has been a positive gift to the tabloids; She’s known as a big fan of parties, and the after effects have often made headlines. She was also treated for anorexia in 2004, and in November 2007 she was hospitalized for a kidney infection.

Actor Justin Bartha says he purposely doesn't publicize his relationship with Ashley Olsen because he is "disgusted" by celebs who sell deets of their private lives to tabloids.

He says:

"It is not something that you keep under wraps. It is just the natural thing to have your private life be private. It is not natural to put a relationship out in the public eye so if that is not an inclination then you just keep a lower profile.

"I don't understand it when celebrity couples pose for pictures and invite people into their home. But it is a very unfortunate part of the culture that has entered into our society which personally I find fairly disgusting."
