Looks like Mario Lopez is taking a cue from the Perezzers!
Back in March, we announced to the world that Perez Hilton's children's book The Boy with Pink Hair would debut in September 2011.
Now, it looks like Papa Lopez is also releasing a children's book this september called Mario and Baby Gia. And yes, the book is named after his baby Gia Francesca.
Good luck with the the new book, Mario! See you at Barnes & Noble! LOLz.

Are hardcover copies of the collective works of Charles Dickens, William Shakespeare, and Stephenie Meyer taking up too much space in your room? Looks like Google's got a solution!
In an effort to compete with Amazon and every bookstore in the world, Google has launched Google eBooks, which will feature hundreds of thousands of titles that you can read on your computer, as well as many tablets, smartphones, and other devices.
Here's what director of strategic partnerships at Google, Tom Turvey, had to say about the new venture:
"Publishers want more competition in the marketplace, and we already have a big investment. We're trying to extend the value of content that exists in the world by enabling people to find it and buy it."
We're interested to see how this plays out, but we're a bit concerned. Is Google still going to let us search for the Barnes and Noble website? How about Borders? They're getting PRET-TY powerful!
Will U pick up eBooks on Google?

This is sure to be a bestseller!
Justin Bieber hit the streets of NYC on Friday and greeted thousands of fans at a Barnes and Noble for a book signing to promote his debut release, Justin Bieber: First Step 2 Forever.
Fans lined up in the cold to get a glimpse of the teen star. Only 1000 were originally allowed into the signing, but luckily for some fans, they let in a thousand more! Justin tweeted about the experience:
At the book and cd signing and this is incredible. my fans are the most loyal passionate people ever. Super Grateful. thank u.
We got alot more people to see… im not leaving until i keep my promise. thanks for everyone being so cool.

We understand that this is a reality of changing times and a bad economy, but still - it seems like such a shame!
Barnes & Noble is attempting to adapt to the decline in print book sales by incorporating 3,000-sqaure-foot play areas for children, which will feature educational toys and games.
Although the addition is only being tested in specific stores for now, it will be implented across the country if it receives enough positive feedback.
However, don't expect a regular toys store, as CEO William Lynch explains:
"We're not trying to create Toys R Us."
Instead, the stores will feature Lego products, as well as trailer sets by Automoblox, and the "Me to You" line of plush dolls, to name a few!
What happened to the days when kids were excited to read? They're missing out on so much!
Sigh.
What do U think?? Is this a smart move for Barnes & Noble??

Congratulations on the successful book, Obama! Maybe now you'll actually amount to something……
Barack Obama's children's book "Of Thee I Sing" has already made the top 25 lists on both Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com, even though it won't even be released for a full two months!
Obama wrote the book before he became President, and publishers have said that the proceeds will be donated to a scholarship fund for the children of fallen and disabled soldiers.
What's next for Obama after his children's book? Well, aside from continuing to run the U.S., he has mentioned plans to write a nonfiction book after he leaves office. We'll expect large numbers from such a book, given the fact that his previous two works of nonfiction have sold millions of copies.
What's your secret to success, Barack? Is it mostly because you're the President of the United States of America?
We wish you the best with your children's book, bb! Glad to hear the proceeds will go to children in need.

What could she possible have to say that's worth anything?!
After being almost half an hour late, Kate Gosselin signed copies of her book I Just Want You To Know: Letters to My Kids on Love, Faith and Family at Barnes & Noble in Santa Monica on Friday.
The book may be about the kids but, uh, where are they?! And when was the last time she saw them?!
Just saying.
