Earlier today we learned that new parents Beyoncé and Jay-Z have filed paperwork to trademark their baby daughter Blue Ivy‘s name so that other unscrupulous people cannot make a profit by exploiting her. But right now we’ve got THE most exciting Blue Ivy news yet … in a presumed effort to have complete control over their daughter’s introduction to the world, Beyoncé and Jay have released the FIRST PHOTOS of their baby daughter. No shadowy photos of merely hands and feet, B-Jay have released a batch of absolutely beautiful photos of the darling little girl. Click below and meet for the very first time Blue Ivy Carter.

These photos were posted on Jay-Z‘s official website in an effort, I believe, to take the bounty off Blue Ivy‘s head for the first photos of the baby girl. Every single photo agency in the world has been salivating for the first chance to take the first photo of Blue Ivy and, as I understand it, numerous magazines have approached Beyoncé and Jay with offers to publish the first photos. Clearly the family wanted to take the matter into their own hands and release the photos publicly on their (Read more...)

It looks like everybody is so enamored with newborn Blue Ivy Carter that some unscrupulous people are trying to profit from the little girl’s name … and it is because of that reason that new parents Beyoncé Knowles and Jay-Z have taken steps to officially trademark the name Blue Ivy for their use only. This means that not only can no one else use the name for financial gain but the parents can, instead, use the name Blue Ivy for any future products they wish to market. HMMM. Read below to find out more about the trademarking of Blue Ivy‘s name.

About a month after the world started buzzing about the baby name Blue Ivy, parents Jay-Z and Beyonce are applying to get the moniker trademarked. An approved trademark could give them the rights to transform Blue Ivy from tiny baby into billion-dollar brand. While Boston event planner Veronica Alexander had already named her business Blue Ivy before the baby was born, two other individuals recently submitted applications to trademark the name after the highly publicized birth, possibly leading the celebrity couple to hasten their own application. On Jan. 11, fashion designer Joseph Mbeh attempted to trademark “Blue Ivy (Read more...)
She's already a mogul, this one.
Blue Ivy, Beyonce and Jay-Z's baby's name, may soon be trademarked as well. It does have instant brand recognition, and her business-savvy folks are all over that.
Blue Ivy Carter's parents filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office protecting the little girl's name for possible use on a future line of baby goods.
Why the rush? There was no time to waste, apparently.
Two Blue Ivy wannabe entrepreneurs already had applications shot down, and no matter how many White House visits Bey and Jay had enjoyed, they'd still have to go through the office's first-come, first-served process like everyone else.
However, a surge in applications is usual when a new name or phrase explodes into the lexicon, and because it's the office's job to sort things out, they try to anticipate trends, subsequently fast-tracking applications inspired by names in the news.
Still, one Blue Ivy earned the trademark before Beyonce was even pregnant: The Blue Ivy clothing store in Wisconsin got unknowingly lucky in early 2011.
They can be expecting a fat check in the near future.

Yesterday we got to see the absolutely gorgeous Beyonce Knowles make her debut appearance since giving birth to baby, Blue Ivy. She made her grand entrance at her hubby, Jay-Z’s charity concert at Carnegie Hall in NYC. He had a second performance last night, so now we have pics of Bey’s 2nd look, as she arrived for Jay-Z’s second and final big night. Of course she looks completely DIVINE… check out the pics below and see how she brought along ‘baby Blue’ … sort of …

I wouldn’t have expected Beyonce to look anything less than magnificent, but she really does look incredible. I even like her 2nd look better than her first, the bright orange dress and Christian Louboutin shoes. For her second post-baby appearance she wore a lacy navy Monique Lhuillier dress and Gucci shoes. I think Bey’s hair looks better done with more volume and va-va-voom like it is in these pics, as opposed to her poker straight look yesterday. I just love her whole look today!
The best part of her outfit though…is her bright blue nail polish I think they are in honor of baby Blue Ivy. Clearly the little one is too (Read more...)
Having a baby, it does a body good.
At least if you're Beyonce, who made her first public appearance last night since giving birth to Blue Ivy Carter on January 7. It's safe to say the singer doesn't look half bad, does she?
Beyonce and her new curves came out to support her husband, as Jay-Z performed at Carnegie Hall in the first of two benefit concerts to honor the United Way of New York City and the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation. Both organizations aim to educate children and lift them out of poverty.
A good cause. A great body.
Beyonce has also been in the news lately because reports claim Simon Cowell wants her to judge The X Factor next season. For a cool $100 million salary.

Last night in NYC was JAY-Z’s concert… we already saw some AMAZING pics of Beyonce at the iconic Carnegie Hall. There were thousand dollar tickets, amazing music and one hell of a performance it sounds like. The highlight of the night seems to be when Jay-Z did his first live performance of his latest hit, “Glory,” about his daughter with Beyonce, Blue Ivy. Read on for the detail, photos and video from last night…
This would have been one concert that I would have LOVED to have been at. Not only to see Jay-Z at such a famed venue, but to hear him do Glory, and then the incredible ‘Empire State Of Mind’ with Alicia Keys. I looove that song, and I think to hear it with Alicia in such an amazing New York venue, would have been chilling.
Jay-Z was joined by fellow New Yorkers Alicia Keys and Nas. He was backed by an orchestra of 30-plus and a band that included Questlove of The Roots and neo-soul singer Bilal. It was one of two shows for charity planned this week.
Though some tickets were sold to the public, most were offered in a private (Read more...)
New mom Beyonce Knowles made her first public appearance last night in NYC, NY at a big concert performance at Carnegie Hall by her hubby Jay-Z. As you may recall, Bey gave birth to her first child — Blue Ivy Carter — early last month and has been totally out of sight since. Clearly, Beyoncé wanted to be at Carnegie Hall last night to support her husband … and to show off her fabulous post-baby bod. Check out the photos below and see what new mama Beyoncé is lookin’ like these days.

She’s back. A month after welcoming baby Blue Ivy Carter, Beyoncé flaunted an enviable-as-ever figure late Monday night in New York. Celebrating husband Jay-Z’s double concert dates at Carnegie Hall, the new mom, 30, made her first public appearance in an orange, hip-hugging Alice Temperly dress – and a pair of towering Christian Louboutins, no less – that showed off her post-baby bod. “It was amazing,” she told New York’s Daily News Monday night of her husband’s debut show (benefiting his Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation and the United Way), which included an emotional performance of the song that features his newborn. “I ain’t think I was gonna (Read more...)
With three-fifths of last year's X Factor panel receiving their pink slips this week, a new report claims Simon Cowell had made his first move to replace Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger and Steve Jones.
And it's a big... nay, a huge... nay, an ENORMOUS one.
Insiders claim the producer has offered Beyonce $100 million to judge the show next season, a sum that would be the highest annual salary in TV history.
"He wants a big-name female star on the panel," a source tells Media Take Out. "Mariah is good, but she's not that hot today. He wants Beyoncé because that would immediately give him the bounce needed to beat American Idol."
But would Beyonce possibly consider the deal?!?
She already has a few dollars in the bank and is as established an artist as there is today. Then again, she did just give birth, so wouldn't a seat at the judging table be the ideal way to remain buzz-worthy, keep a regular schedule, make SERIOUS coin and spend a time of time with Blue Ivy?
Do you think Beyonce would make a good X Factor judge?
Houston, Texas, might become a really popular place for tourists to visit now because they are planning to design and unveil a monument in honor of Beyonce, who grew up there. Designing of a statue, highlighting Bey’s life and showcasing memorabilia from her career is said to have already begun. Read below for more details about what the monument, or ‘mini museum’ will include…

CEO of the company, Marcus Mitchell, tells My Fox Houston, “Our biggest thing is a lot of people get honored when they die, so our goal is to why not honor people why they’re still here? We felt as though it’s her time to be honored. We wanted to construct, like, a massive hall so as the doors open, if you donated to the monument, you’ll have a separate nameplate.”
“There will be clips of Beyonce with Destiny’s Child and wardrobe like a mini museum. We’ve gotten support from the city of Houston, from the mayor.”
Wow, a Beyonce “museum” is such a fun, fabulous idea! I’m trying to picture it and not quite getting the pig picture because I’m not sure how they will incorporate clips, but I guess it will be a monument that (Read more...)
