Just one month after giving birth, Beyonce has shown off her post-baby body. The singer was seen arriving at Carnegie Hall, dressed in a sequin tight navy mini-dress by Monique Lhuillier, which really flaunted hew new slim figure – how did she do it? Beyonce teamed the gorgeous dress with simple black Gucci shoes, a Chanel bag and some coordinating purple jewels. Wow, she looks fantastic here – you’d never guess she just gave birth. The dress really flatters her curves, she looks elegant and womanly.
Beyonce is the ultimate diva, and dresses to look the part. Not only has she impressively gone back to her former shape, but she has a amazing glow too – she looks really, really happy and you can really see it! With curled hair and flawless makeup, Beyonce’s whole look here is so classic and perfect for her too. She does the dress justice and simply shines in this look – it doesn’t get much better than this, and Beyonce seems to be feeling that way too now that she’s welcomed her first child!

Beyonce finally made her first public appearance after giving birth to daughter Blue Ivy on January 7. She went out to support husband Jay-Z at his concert at Carnegie Hall in New York, which benefited his Shawn Carter Foundation as well as The United Way of New York City. Jay-Z got choked up during his performance of “Glory,” which he wrote for Blue Ivy, and announced afterward that it was tough to make it through the song. Attendees said it was obvious that the rapper was “over the moon” about being a new father and asked how many other “proud parents” were in the crowd. Following the show, Beyonce joined her husband at his 40/40 nightclub for the official after party, where she seemed to be enjoying her night out. She made her rounds around the club and made sure to “say hello to nearly everyone.” The singer showed off her post-baby body in a red Alice by Temperley dress and Christian Louboutin heels.
We’re always curious to see new mothers during their first post-baby outing, and Beyonce didn’t disappoint – she looked stunning on her night out. Here are a few other new celebrity moms that have recently made headlines for showing off their post-baby bodies for the first time.
Kate Hudson
Kate Hudson gave birth to son Bingham on July 9, 2011, but was just recently photographed showing off her post-baby body. She’s on vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico with fiancé Matt Bellamy and was spotted flaunting her abs in a bikini. A source close to the actress revealed that Hudson built a dance studio in her home and used it every day to help get back into shape.
Victoria Beckham
Victoria Beckham gave birth to her fourth child, daughter Harper Seven, in July 2011. She showed (Read more...)

Word on the street is Simon Cowell is offering Beyonce $100 million a year to judge X Factor!!
One year could pay for Blue Ivy's college tuition (not that she and Jay-Z didn't already have that money anyways)!!
According to sources close:
He wants a big-name female star on the panel. Mariah Carey is good, but she's not that hot today. He wants Beyonce because that would immediately give him the bounce needed to beat American Idol.
We like this idea!! We don't know if she's gonna accept the offer, but Beyonce would be ah-mazing for ratings!!
...but don't forget about Perez!! The show needs some extra sass!!

Sounds like this should be more successful than Detroit's attempt to get a Robocop statue erected. Ha!
Marcus Mitchell and Steve White of Armdeonce Ventures are currently seeking out private donors to help them build a monument for Beyonce in Houston, Texas...and we're hearing that the city is supporting them!
Here's what Marcus had to say about it:
"She is the number 1 entertainer from Houston. She’s in the prime of her career, producer, actress; Houston is proud and she comes back to Houston often."
"Our biggest thing is a lot of people get honored when they die, so our goal is to why not honor people why they're still here? We felt as though it’s her time to be honored."
"We wanted to construct, like, a massive hall so as the doors open, if you donated to the monument, you'll have a separate nameplate. There will be clips of Beyonce with Destiny’s Child and wardrobe like a mini museum."
And more from Marcus:
"We’ve gotten support from the city of Houston, from the mayor. We’re waiting for a very nice letter from the mayor right now."
Assuming all goes according to plan, the Beyonument should be unveiled on September (Read more...)
Christina Aguilera has been criticized a lot lately for her weight, but now she’s getting attention for something that happened during a recent performance of hers. Over the weekend, Aguilera sang “At Last” in a Los Angeles church at a memorial service for Etta James, who passed away on January 20. Attendees of the service said she “sang her heart out.” It was one of Christina’s proudest moments – she called James “a true gift to music and a woman of great spirit and courage.” The singer has been covering Etta’s “At Last” for years and was happy to perform it again. As soon as pictures of Christina’s performance surfaced, however, fans noticed something strange. The singer had weird streaks running down her legs. Apparently she was a little too nervous – attendees said it appeared that all her sweat caused her spray tan to streak.
Sweating onstage in front of so many people seems like it would be pretty embarrassing, but it’s a fairly common problem among performers. Here are a few other stars that, like Christina Aguilera, have been caught sweating excessively onstage.
Beyonce
Beyonce admitted last year that the reason she always has so many wind machines pointed at her during performances is not because she’s “being fashionable” – she needs them because she sweats so much. She works so hard onstage that she’d be “dripping” if the machines weren’t there.
Jordin Sparks
Singer Jordin Sparks admitted that she’s always “drenched” with sweat after performances. Sparks is constantly moving when she’s onstage, which causes her to sweat more than usual.
Billboard has released the 2012 Power 100 list, which ranks the 100 most powerful people in the music industry, and it reveals that times are changing!
No longer are the record labels in control, instead power is shifting to the artists, their managers, and the people who book them.
One top entertainment attorney who was consulted to create the list said:
"Ultimately the artists are in control. So whoever most influences the artist has the power. But the label role has diminished as they no longer can provide the established artists with as much cash as they used to."
Jay-Z, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, U2, Jon Bon Jovi and Lady Gaga are the 6 artists on the list, while there were just 21 record labels executives, but 23 managers and 10 television and movie executives. The rest of the names come from radio, music publishing, digital service providers, branding companies, trade groups, lawyers and even 2 venture capitalists.
Perez Hilton isn't there yet, but give us a couple more years! LOLz!
Check out the list that was determined by a combination of factors including market share, exclusive Billboard chart data/boxscore information and revenue, below:

Well, it's about time! Ha!
Kevin Allred, a professor and doctoral student at Rutgers University, is now offering a course on Beyoncé, which will explore her ability to "effect social change," as well as compare her to the works of Bell Hooks, Alice Walker and Sojourner Truth!
He explains:
"She certainly pushes boundaries. While other artists are simply releasing music, she’s creating a grand narrative around her life, her career, and her persona. This isn’t a course about Beyoncé’s political engagement or how many times she performed during President Obama’s inauguration weekend."
It actually sounds like a very fascinating and insightful look into the role of pop culture and its ability to effect people on a large scale!

Blue Ivy Carter is set to have a fabulous life just because of who her parents are. As if things weren’t already going well for Beyonce and Jay-Z’s daughter, life just managed to get even better. She has a famous godmother to look up to now too – no, Beyonce didn’t ask her sister Solange or close friend Gwyneth Paltrow. Instead, the couple has chosen Oprah Winfrey to be Blue’s godmother. They’ve grown very close to the talk show icon in the past few years and wanted to make sure she was a part of their child’s life. Oprah already gave Beyonce a trunk full of books as a baby present for Blue – just imagine the kind of Christmases and birthdays that child will have. As for the godfather, Jay-Z’s friend Tyran Smith was honored with the title. Jay-Z and Beyonce wanted to make sure the godparents they chose weren’t blood-related.
Many other celebrities choose fellow stars to be godparents to their children too. Here are few famous couples that want their kids to grow up around no one but celebs.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie
Bono is godfather to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s twins Vivenne Marcheline and Knox Leon.
David and Victoria Beckham
Elton John is godfather to David and Victoria Beckham’s sons Brooklyn and Romeo.
