Britney Spears’ X Factor Contract Lets Her Leave Whenever She Wants, Report Claims

An interesting explanation of Britney Spears walking off The X Factor set Thursday has emerged in a new report on TMZ: She did because she can.

The show wanted Spears so badly, they literally gave away the candy store ... well not literally, although she could probably buy a candy store.

With a deal paying her $15 million for one season, Britney is raking it in, and that's not even all. Her contract basically gives her carte blanche.

Spears has the right to do things during production that are not "normal," insiders say, and that includes taking breaks whenever she feels like it.

As one source put it, "Simon is a shrewd businessman who knew Britney could make his show and he was willing to give her just about anything."

Guess so. And hey, look at us talking about The X Factor in May!

Yesterday, Britney walked off the set during the very first taping, leaving behind an empty judge's chair while four contestants did their thing.

Sources connected with the production say Britney was "overwhelmed" and left. She sort of denied this on Twitter, but would anyone be surprised?

Kristen Stewart Labeled As Irresponsible, Indecent By Conservatives!

Oh shiz!

Sounds like Kristen Stewart’s upcoming flick On The Road is ALREADY causing quite the stir amongst conservatives!

Her sexcapades on screen have really upset some critics, who think her role sets a horrible example for a younger Twilight audience.

One conservative critic, Dan Gainor said:

“The movie industry has a twisted affection for making raunchy films that use and abuse former child stars. In the film On The Road, Kristen Stewart engages in a threesome and masturbates two male characters according to reports. How will parents who took their daughters to see the Twilight movies explain this?”

But a film is just a film, right??? All in the name of art? Ha!

Not according to Gainor, who goes on to say:

“It is irresponsible of Stewart and manipulative of Hollywood bosses to deliberately try to destroy any sense of decency these actresses might have taught young people.”

We don’t know about you, but role model or not, it’s not really these actresses’ responsibility to teach your kids about decency, LOLz!

The right-wing columnist even cited how Disney has destroyed “any wholesome image” stars like Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus and Lindsay Lohan have had, and that KStew’s latest flick is no different.

Um...did he expect for them to stay 13 year old teenyboppers playing high schoolers and singing bubblegum pop forever?

Gainor concluded his argument by stating:

“All we've learned here is that parents should tell their children that the time when most in Hollywood are truly acting is when they are acting decently.”

What the what??? So if an actress (note: he didn’t even mention any male stars...) takes on a risqué role, that’s not REALLY considered acting?

Sounds a bit cray cray to us!

Paula Abdul’s Sound Advice For Brit and Demi

New X Factor judges Britney Spears and Demi Lovato have one day of judging under their belt -- but that doesn't mean they couldn't use a few tips!

The world's most infamous reality show judge, Mz. Paula Abdul, has some surprisingly sound advice for the new girls.

The former American Idol and X Factor judge says the key to judging is to remember:

"Live television is just that. You have to go with the flow, speak your mind, and just remember millions of people are watching."

Does she think Brit Brit and Dem are going to do her the job well?

Nope! Paula told reporters:

"I think they're going to be fantastic."

She added that Mz Spears seems "lovely" and "very sweet," and, "Demi seems sweet as well."

Aw!

She has nice things to say about everyone!

That is... excluding those things she said about Simon Cowell!

Britney Spears’ X Factor Stint Will Be Short-Lived?

While her new X Factor mentor role seems to be fitting her just right, it seems Britney Spears won’t be sticking around forever!

Reportedly, the pop princess has only signed on for the show until the world ends for ONE year with her $15 million contract!

A source recently spilled:

"The judge handling Britney's conservatorship wanted to make sure that this wasn't going to be too stressful or grueling for her and that weighed heavily in the negotiations. Britney's doctors felt comfortable with a one season commitment, remember, she is still under a conservatorship, meaning she can't make any business or personal decisions herself.”

Probably a smart move...we definitely wouldn’t want Brit Brit to overwork herself or overpromise and not follow through!

Another insider added:

“Britney's contract does have an option for a second year, but Britney isn't committed under terms of the agreement to come back for another season if she doesn't want to, both sides have to agree to this.”

Better safe than sorry, we suppose??

Britney is already MORE than ready to prove the critics wrong and has been reportedly asking Simon Cowell for tips on how to be the “best judge possible.”

Britney Spears Completes Day 1 Of Judging ‘The X Factor’ Auditions

Yesterday we saw the first batch of BEAUTIFUL photos of Britney Spears and her fellow X Factor judges — Simon Cowell, Antonio LA Reid and Demi Lovato — making their arrival in Austin, TX for Day 1 of auditions for season 2 of The X Factor. Britney showed up at the auditions yesterday in a beautifully hawt pink dress and she immediately sent fans into a tizzy. To be honest, I knew she was going to bring the heat on this first day of auditions but I know there were are great many people who doubted her. As soon as she stepped foot out of her SUV, all those concerns disappeared and pretty much everyone agreed that Britney looked amazing … and ready to get down to work.
