Wendy Williams Gets Paula Abdul To Spill On X Factor Drama!

Media extraordinaire Wendy Williams celebrated a VERY special occasion on her show today -- her 500th episode!!!

For a show that originally was only given SIX weeks to prove it had what it took to stay on air, we'd say that's a pretty HUGE accomplishment!

We mentioned yesterday that Wendy would be commemorating this event with none other than Paula Abdul -- who dished on everything from why she left American Idol to the whole X Factor shuffle...and of course, how she REALLY feels about Simon Cowell!

Britney Spears may have demanded a cool $15 million to appear on the second season judges panel of X Factor come fall, but to be fair, her backstage demands for the reality competition aren't too bad, in our opinion!

According to sources, the pop star requires six 24-pack cases of Diet Coke, 10 snack-sized bags of Doritos, 10 pieces of chicken, four pints of potato salad, and 12 Snickers bars backstage for she and her team every week!

What can we say? She's a southern gurl, after all!

Furthermore, she'd also like 12 vases of magnolia blossoms for her dressing room, 34 Herve Leger dresses, and a beauty team consisting of a personal manicurist, a facialist and a massage therapist!

Insiders explain:

''Britney is well aware of what the critics are saying about her. She is anxious to prove to everyone that she isn't just a ditzy blonde and she is hunkered down with her fiance Jason, who will be with her at all times during the auditions and filming. Britney has been asking a lot of questions about the process and is seeking advice from Simon Cowell about how she can be the best judge possible.''

Britney Spears, a celebrity with one of the most successful fragrance lines, will be releasing a new perfume offering this Fall. Set for release in September and timed to coincide with her debut as judge on The X Factor, Britney will be releasing a fragrance called Fantasy Twist. This new offering is not a new smell, tho. It’s a bottle that will house Britney‘s Fantasy perfume on one side and Midnight Fantasy on the other. You get two classic Britney perfumes in one stylish new bottle.

I understand Fantasy Twist will be made available in 3 sizes, including a small 30ml size that will fit perfectly in once purse or bag. I believe the idea is to offer both a day and night perfume for fans of Britney Spears’s fragrance line. Now, I’ve been very honest about my feelings on celebrity fragrances and altho I’m not a fan of even Britney’s perfumes, I do like the look of this neat bottle. Jennifer Lopez Is Still ‘Undecided’ About Idol

It really is all about the benjamins, baby!

A few days ago Jennifer Lopez was DONE with American Idol for good!! She had too much going on with the Enrique Iglesias tour, etc.

Yesterday, reports surfaced that the real reason Jennifer wanted off the show was because she was insulted by the amount of dough Simon Cowell was throwing at Demi Lovato and Britney Spears on X Factor.

And now the pop star is singing a different tune altogether!!

An insider offers their opinion:

“When $20 million is on the line, you make time. Jennifer is the hardest working woman in show business and is used to juggling many projects as well as being an amazing single mom. Plus, after the audition rounds, the schedule is easy. It's four hours, two nights a week in L.A. Most entertainers would kill for a schedule like that.”

So all the posturing was just a negotiation tactic? The chica definitely has business savvy!

We thought J.Lo had unofficially decided to quit American Idol, BUT turns out there is something that would get her to stay!

Mz. Lopez told Ellen, she wanted to leave so she could to spend more time with her 4-year-year babies. Howeves, a show insider says Jenny has a less adorable reason for leaving: she doesn't want Britney Spears showing her up!

The insider says Mz Lopez doesn't really want to leave the show, she's just playing hardball for a salary bigger than Brit Brits $15 Million.

According to the Idol source:

“J LO and American Idol are striving for headlines, along with it being ‘strictly business,’ she is also for sure wanting more money than Britney Spears to return. She is not signed for next year but nothing is better in Nigel’s eyes than people talking about American Idol and who the judges will be all summer. Look what it did with The X Factor!”

John Legend Bashes Britney Spears and Demi Lovato as Non-Singers

They won't be competing against each other, but it's nevertheless on between Duets and The X Factor.

On the ABC Upfront party red carpet this week, John Legend - one of the four singers who will be teaming up with amateurs across the country on the new singing competition - was asked about the new X Factor judges, Britney Spears and Demi Lovato, and replied:

"You know it's interesting. It should be very interesting. I don't have much to say," Legend told E! News. "It's interesting when people, you know, are judging singing competitions when they aren't really singers."

Ouch! Interesting is one diplomatic word for it, yes.

Robin Thicke, who will also appear on Duets, gave the young ladies some credit at least: "Oh come on, everything Britney does, she excels at. Demi is a lovely young lady, and I'm sure they'll do nothing but make the show a lot more fun to watch."

Mariah Carey Was Only Joking About Britney Spears!

Totally! Ha!!

Remember when Simon Cowell picked Britney Spears as his prized X Factor judge (even though Mariah Carey was reportedly in the running)?

And remember when Mariah, when asked about Simon's decision the same day, responded shortly with:

"You think I focus on that stuff? Have we met? I love [Spears], honestly. I think she's a very nice person, but I don't care who's going on that show - as long as it's not me."

Well.... according to MiMi, there is NO bad blood... only bad jokes!

As soon as she realized her comment left a lot of room for interpretation, she took to the stand Twitter to make it right, tweet-tweeting:

"@BritneySpears & @SimonCowell of course I luv+care about you dahhlings, congrats! U never know what's true or gossip, I was joking around!"

Welp!! If she really meant any malice, she wouldn't be trying so hard to cover it up. MiMi doesn't need anyone's love she doesn't want, that's for sure!!

So we believe she didn't say it with bad intentions... just not a whole lot of tact. Hey, it happens!
