Lookin' good, Margaret!
Check out the video (above) of Margaret Cho repping a dress designed by Project Runway alum Rami Kashou on Sunday's episode of Lifetime's Drop Dead Diva.
We're pumped for this one, because it's the uber-important episode we mentioned back in April, which is inspired by the true story of Constance McMillen, who will guest star on the show along with Clay Aiken and Lance Bass!
As reminder, Constance is the young girl who was denied permission to attend her high school prom because of her sexual orientation.
Sounds like a wonderful AND important episode! We'll def be checking it out!

Lifetime is planning an uber-important episode for its hit series, Drop Dead Diva, and they've announced some big names that are planning to guest-star.
In July, the show will air an episode inspired by the true story of Constance McMillen, the young girl who was denied permission to attend her high school prom because of her sexual orientation. Slated to guest-star on the episode are Clay Aiken, Lance Bass and Constance herself!
Lovely! We're so pleased to hear that Constance's story has not been forgotten and is getting this kind of positive exposure! Bravo!
Hmm. Wonder what roles Lance and Clay will play in this??? Thoughts???

Excellent!
A federal judge has ordered Mississippi's Itawamba County School District to pay the $81,000 in legal fees and expenses that Constance McMillen incurred after having to bring them to court for banning her from her high school's prom - all because she wanted to bring her girlfriend as a date!
As they should! We're so thrilled that justice has been served!
Discrimination and bigotry have no place in this country, and ESPECIALLY not in schools!
Congratulations, bb!
A well-deserved victory!
EQUAL RIGHTS FOR ALL.

This is wonderful!
Constance McMillen, the lesbian teenager who touched our hearts with her bravery and perserverence after she fought her Mississippi school district for banning her from her High School's prom because she wanted to bring her girlfriend as her date, will soon be the subject of a film, set to premiere on ABC Family!
The project, which is still apparently in early stages of development, will be written and directed by John Gray and produced by Craig Zadan and Neil Meron.
Amazing!
Constance is truly a remarkable young woman, and her story is such an inspiring one, so we look forward to seeing how it's adapted for the film! We sincerely hope it does her justice!

Good for her!
Constance McMillen is being paid $35,000 in damages from the Fulton, Mississippi school district after they discriminated against her when she wanted to bring her girlfriend to prom.
The school district has also agreed to adopt a policy banning discrimination based on sexual orientation.
Constance says:
"I'm so glad this is all over. I won't ever get my prom back, but it's worth it if it changes things at my school."
Hear, hear!

There are truly no words for this.
As if poor Constance McMillen hasn't been through enough with the deplorable and disgusting discrimination she's faced regarding her school prom, the Kansas-based Westboro Baptist Church announced that it plans on picketing her graduation!
The press release says:
“[We] will picket the graduation of Itawamba Agricultural High School to remind the parents, teachers and students of this nation that God said 'Thou shall not lie with mankind, as with womankind, it is abomination.' This generation has been raised to believe that they can live for the devil and still go to heaven, that God has no standards and the biggest lie of all – that God loves everyone.”
It truly saddens us to think that there are people in this world who could be capable of this kind of hatred and believe that is all in the name of a higher power.
Stay strong, Constance! You've already come this far!
