Channing Tatum Has No Problem With Nudity In A Film, So Long As It Is "Necessary"

Published on February 8, 2012 By

Perez Hilton

With you honey, it is ALWAYS necessary!

If you're on the fence about going to see The Vow this weekend for Valentine's Day, allow us to sway your decision: Channing Tatum is completely naked in one scene. And trust us, that 10 seconds alone is worth it. Movie theaters should be allowed to rewind films, that's how good this scene was. Three words: naked butt shot!!! Yum!!!

A lot of actors would be embarrassed to bare all on the screen, but at the premiere for the movie, Channing revealed that he's totally fine with it, so long as it plays well into the story. While he found spending a majority of the film without his shirt on "gratuitous," when it came to baring his bottom for the scene, he admitted he played along since it was "necessary."

Hmm. Alright, alright. We see your point here. Hey, we have a movie idea to pitch to you, Channing. Think you'll like it. It's about a nudist marooned on an island...

You know what? We'll just shoot the script over to you. Then you can come over and do a read-thru for us ... in character. Ha!

P.S. - Have we mentioned that (Read more...)

Abe Lincoln Brings Back Evil Vampire Genre

Published on February 8, 2012 By

Yes, we all love Edward and fam, but Abe Lincoln is hear to kick vampire butt!

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter hits theaters June 22nd and it brings back the old adage, "Vampires are bad."

In the flick, vampires are just downright evil and Honest Abe has to take them out.

Benjamin Walker, who plays Abe, comments on the film:

It’s not a sermon in any way, but it is interesting to look at vampires as the all-encompassing, unspeakable, unknowable evil. This evil moves among us, and maybe lives next door. It’s an ideology that we don’t fully understand, but they live by it.

It’s told through the structure of Lincoln’s actual life. You not only see these huge fight scenes and great moments of drama, but you get sort of the greatest hits of Lincoln’s life, from the mysterious death of his mother through the Gettysburg address,
You get a portrait of this man, as well as a thriller.

Well put, Ben!

While it sounds hokey and cartoonish, the film promises to deliver on history as well as fun.

We can't wait for this movie to come out!!!

JGL Making His Directorial Debut In Next Flick!

Published on February 7, 2012 By

Perez Hilton

Joseph Gordon-Levitt wants to be a jack of all trades!

JGL will write, star and make his directorial debut in his as-of-yet untitled project, starring opposite ScarJo.

The film will have JGL as a sexxay, modern-day Don Juan who tries to be, in his words, "less of a dick."

Sounds easy enough...HA!

The actor called it quits from acting at 19 and has returned in full force. He states his real motivation to return to film was the chance to direct.

JGL states the following about his passion for directing:

I was a child actor for years and quit at 19, went to school awhile, and a big part of why I came back was that I ultimately wanted to make movies.

I spent a year working with Chris Nolan, Rian Johnson, Steven Spielberg, and I did my best to pay attention. I’ve also been making short films for a long time now, I’ve directed a ton of them, and that is a huge part of why I feel comfortable and confident in this.

In his project, there is another female lead that is yet to be determined. We wonder who he will pick.

This new project sounds uhMAZing (Read more...)

Oscars Won’t Be Performing Songs In Best Original Song Category!

Published on February 7, 2012 By

Perez Hilton

The producers of this year’s Oscars must be in a scramble to let this happen!

First, they only nominated two songs for the category, excluding Madge, Elton John, Mary J. Blige, and Sinead O’Connor.

Now, the chosen two won’t even have a chance to be performed!

Real in Rio from Rio and Man or Muppett from The Muppets are at the show in name only. Rio‘s Fox and The Muppets‘ Disney studios tried to appeal the decision, but they were turned down.

Sad. It would have been cool to see Kermit and Miss Piggy sing and dance with the other Muppets!

Charlize? Or Carey? Ladies Duke It Out To Play Princess Di!

Published on February 6, 2012 By

Perez Hilton

Charlize Theron is the odds on favorite for the role but can Carey Mulligan sneak one away from her?!

A new Princess Di flick is in the works and the two lovely ladies are up for the role. Ewan McGregor is set to play the late princess's bodyguard, Ken Wharfe, who released a book, Diana: Closely Guarded Secret in 2009 that the film is based on.

The movie will show the 11 years after Prince Harry's birth but won't dish on any relationships or conspiracy theories (boo!).

Iron Lady producer Stephen Evans said the following about the upcoming pic:

The emphasis on this really is authenticity and to discover what she went through. Unless you are a Diana freak, quite a lot of it will be unknown to the audience.

The movie’s not saying she is unbelievably wonderful or she’s a pain in the neck, the audience can make their own view.

So who should play Diana? It's such a tough choice!

We love both of these ladies!!!! What do U think?

Charlie Sheen’s Show DID Get Selma Blair After All!

Published on February 4, 2012 By

Perez Hilton

We knew Charlie Sheen really wanted to get Selma Blair for his new show, and now we're hearing that he got her...

... AND Shawnee Smith!!

They'll be playing ex-wife and therapist, respectively. We couldn't think of anybody better for the roles!

Shooting starts in March, so we'll get to see Anger Management debut in June. We're just wondering if he'll be able to keep it together. He said:

“At this stage of the game, to deliver a turd? It’s not going to happen. It’s going to be an absolute f---in' rocket ship to the moon.”

We guess what we're trying to say is that anything's possible at this point, because that quote is classic Sheen, but the fact that he was able to keep quiet on the potential stars for as long as he did when they asked him to shows us he trying!

Here's the breakdown for Smith's character:

Smith will play Charlie’s ex-wife Jennifer, a role billed as a sexy woman who doesn’t exactly have it together. Married young, she never found an identity outside of Charlie. They divorced after he spent years cheating on her, but they remain close and are raising their teen daughter (Read more...)
