Federal Appeals Court Ready To Announce Their Ruling On Prop 8! TODAY!

It's about time!

After a year delay, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has announced that a three-judge panel will announce today its ruling on whether or not the ban on same-sex marriage in California, known as Proposition 8, bans the constitutional rights of gays and lesbians!

Apparently, the panel held off on the decision as they wanted to be informed by the California Supreme Court as to the legality of the Prop 8 sponsors authority to challenge the trial judge's ruling that it was unconstitutional to begin with!

Doesn't seem like that much of a question to us, but okay!

We also know that regardless of the decision today, both sides will be ready to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court, but we sincerely hope that this panel realizes what a disgusting infringement on basic human rights this ban truly is!

DanRad Has A Man Crush On Ryan Gosling!

Sorry, "talent" crush! Then again, who doesn't!

In his new interview with Attitude Magazine, Daniel Radcliffe talks in length about his support for LGBT issues. As a major contributor to Trevor Project, DanRad has always been at the forefront fighting for gay youths and in this interview, he adds to his awesomeness by explaining why legalizing gay marriage is so important in this day and age.

He explains:

"The ultimate reason gay marriage should be legalized everywhere is because, as a kid, you look to your mum and dad and they're married, then you look at the gay couple who've been together for the same amount of time, but because they can't get married their relationship doesn't seem the same. Gay people should have equality in law everywhere. If you grow up as a young gay man knowing you don't have the same opportunities as everyone else, you're going to feel victimized and massive prejudice towards you."

Word. Preach it, Potter!

Having been such a strong supporter for gay rights has led many to believe the rumors about DanRad's own sexuliaty ... and his admittance to having a thing for Ryan Gosling is going to bring that speculation to (Read more...)

Mitt Romney's victory parade got rained on...by glitter!

The Republican candidate was glitter bombed while in Minnesota by protestor Robert Erickson.

This isn't Erickson first bombing either! The protestor has also bombed Michele Bachmann and Newt Gingrich.

Romney just to play it off as confetti but the damage was done!

Erickson was escorted out of the rally and it is believed that immigration was a motivating factor. His father was deported to Colombia recently.

Another one bites the gliterry dust!

Gay Russian Flight Attendant Forced To Marry A Woman To Keep JobGay Russian Flight Attendant Forced To Marry Woman To Keep Job

Awful!

A gay flight attendant says Russia's leading airline forced him into a heterosexual marriage to keep his job.

No, this isn't our pitch for a for a shitty rom-com, it's Maxim Kupreev's real life.

The 25-year-old flight attendant claims that when he tried to found a gay support network at the airline, Aeroflot, the company heads shut it down.

A spokesperson for the airline said they didn't need an LBGT group because:

"One should separate personal and professional life."

Yet, that's not what happened a year later when Aeroflot gave him a really weird ultimatum to either marry his high school girlfriend beard, Sofia Mikhailova or lose his job.

That's not fair to ANYONE!! Especially not Sofia (even though she gets 10% off the flights now) because she was already married! Where are the family values in that??

Aeroflot is insane.

Gay activists in Russia are planning to ask air passengers to boycott Aeroflot and not to use its services until the creation of equal conditions for all workers. We fully support this boycott!!

If you are planing a trip near Russia PLEASE do not travel with Aeroflot!

Washington has moved one step closer to becoming the next state to support marriage equality!

The House Judiciary Committee passed its gay marriage bill today with a 7-6 vote.

The vote was split straight down the party lines, with 7 Democrats voting yes and 6 Republicans voting no.

Republicans tried to amend the bill three times. One amendment suggested would have allowed private businesses and individuals to an religious exemption.

The bill now moves to a fiscal commitee while the Senate will have a full vote tomorrow.

The current count of votes believes the bill will pass!

Good luck, Washington!

Maine To Give Gay Marriage Vote Another Try!

Published on January 26, 2012 By

Maine is the only state in New England to not allow gay marriage or civil unions.

Activists in the state are looking to change that!

The Legislature previously approved gay marriage, but the public rejected it with a 53 to 47% vote against it.

Organizers needed at least 57,277 signatures to bring the referendum to another state vote. EqualityMaine, the Maine Civil Liberties Union and the Maine Women’s Lobby collected over 100,000 signatures!

If Maine approves the vote, it will be the first state to approve the bill by popular vote.

With the signatures, organizers believe the majority of Mainers will approve of gay marriage.

Let's go Maine! Pass that referendum!!!
