Seriously, Glenn?!?!?!?

To recap, Jimmy Fallon's Late Night band The Roots gave an impromptu performance of Fishbone's Lyin' A*s B*tch as Michele Bachmann's intro song during her appearance on Monday's show.

After hearing about it, Glenn Beck opened up about the incident on his show (above), and he is absolutely FURIOUS about it!

While everyone's entitled to their opinion, we are disgusted with Glenn for calling Jimmy "a girl" in his arguments!

Come on, Glenn! Referring to Jimmy as a girl as if it were a negative thing???? Just awful!

What do U think about Glenn Beck's anti-Fallon tirade? Do U agree with any of his points???

We know this was tough for you because you loathe love Glenn Beck so much, Keith, but we still think you did a wonderful job!

Check out the video (above) of Keith Olbermann's farewell message to Glenn Beck on Current TV.

What a fond farewell! Ya know, maybe we've been misinterpreting the signals that Keith's been giving Glenn over the years! Maybe he actually sees Glenn as something more! Maybe one day we'll see these two co-hosting a TV show together!!!!

Obvi we're JK. It's quite clear that Keith is VERY happy that Glenn's show on Fox is ending, and we're sure lots of people feel the same way...although lots of of people will also be bummed that he's leaving.

What do U think about the end of Glenn Beck's show? Happy? Sad? A little bit of both?

Glenn Beck Leaves Fox News, Takes "Movement" to Your Heart/Wallet

Published on July 1, 2011 By

The Hollywood Gossip

Glenn Beck signed off from Fox News last night in a more Glenn Beckian way.

The controversial host, who went off on New Yorkers earlier this week and premiered on the network the day prior to Barack Obama's inauguration, addressed the reasons for his departure.

Bad ratings? No. A feud with Fox News chief Roger Ailes? Please.

Glenn Beck Says Goodbye to Fox News

"This show has become a movement," he told viewers. "It's not a TV show and that's why it does not belong on television anymore. It belongs in your heart. It belongs in your neighborhood."

Ah, okay. That explains it.

Beck is off to GBTV to star online in a daily, two-hour program. You'll need to pay to listen to his words of wisdom on a series that launches in September.

To his critics, Beck said: "You will pray for the time when I was only on the air for one hour a day."

Glenn Beck Says Family was Harassed in NYC, Preaches to "Hateful People"

The Hollywood Gossip

Glenn Beck and his family attended a screening of Alfred Hitchcock's The 39 Steps in Bryant Park on Monday night, but the host explained on his radio show today that he was greeted with anything but a warm welcome.

"It was a hostile situation," he said, detailing how wife Tanya had wine "intentionally kicked on her back" and how a man pointed at Tanya and Beck's daughter and screamed: "We hate conservatives here!"

No one told the trouble makers to knock it off, Beck continued.

Glenn Beck on Stage

"I apologize to anybody who had their movie experience wrecked because of the people that found it so necessary to spew hatred," he went on. "But there's nothing I can do about it."

Beck described the harassers as "arrogant 25-year olds" and said they were the "most hateful people I've ever seen." But there's a hope for these lost souls... if only they realize it soon.

"All I could think of about the people around me all night was I feel sorry for you. I really feel sorry for you... you are so lost... and so convinced that you are absolutely 100% right, and you are helping build a system that is fueled by hate. (Read more...)

Glenn Beck Launches … Groupon Clone!

The Hollywood Gossip

Creating a Groupon competitor seems like a strange move for a fiery TV and radio commentator, but Fox News' Glenn Beck is nothing if not strange.

The conservative may still have a few months before he leaves his talk show, but he’s already prepping for his next venture: a daily deals website.

Mercury Radio Arts, the production company that Glenn Beck controls, has officially launched MarkDown (dot) com. It's almost identical to Groupon.

Beck Markdown

Like hundreds of other companies, MarkDown provides a daily deal if enough peeps purchase it within a specified time. Its first deal is $20 worth of chocolate from the notoriously shady Chocolate (dot) com for $10.

Markdown also boasts a referral system. If a user refers a friend to the site and that friend buys something, the user gets a 10 percent discount on the discount!

Markdown is the place where I will be able to connect you directly with the products and retailers that I love,” Beck said on his website. “Best of all, Markdown is a place where my personal slogan and values will be brought to life.”

Beck intends to use his name and reputation to kickstart Markdown's growth.

Glenn Beck on Meghan McCain PSA: BARF!

Published on May 12, 2011 By

The Hollywood Gossip

Safe to say Meghan McCain is not Glenn Beck's type.

The Fox News host mocked her recent skin cancer PSA for the Style network and even pretended to vomit when her name was mentioned. Classy.

Sen. John McCain's daughter, alongside other stars, appear in the spot in various forms of nudity. The point is that we're naked without sunscreen.

Beck was unmoved, feigning the urge to hurl.

He sarcastically said he was feeling ill from too much of a good thing or maybe he was trying "to imagine John McCain naked with long blonde hair."

"When I look at that, I think to myself, I get the point, put some clothes on," griped Beck, who suggested she wear a burka to "be extra safe."

Meghan McCain hit back, deriding Beck as "pathetic and extremely desperate for publicity." Her mom, Cindy McCain, also called out Beck on Twitter.

"I'm so glad Glenn Beck is leaving Fox," wrote Cindy, a skin cancer survivor (as is John McCain). "Enough vitriol and hate. Glenn you are no rodeo clown."

Seriously. Never mind that she's not really naked or that she's actually promoting a good cause, right Glenn? Come on dude.

Glenn Beck Calls Glee a "Nightmare"

Published on May 2, 2011 By

The Hollywood Gossip

Commentators everywhere keep on lambasting Glee, and not because of stunt casting or inconsistent writing. The show's latest high-profile critic? Glenn Beck.

On Friday, the Fox News host gave the show this "compliment" ...

"I've watched it in stunned horror combined with a sense of admiring awe. It is a brilliant, brilliant show... but it is a horror show... everybody in here is somebody your kids would want to be like, except everyone is sleeping with everyone else.

It's all about self-gratification... it's a nightmare."

Glenn Beck Leans In

Beck's attacks were just the latest on the show, with SNL alum Victoria Jackson and author Bret Easton Ellis delivering particularly blunt, harsh critiques.

As a result, the Fox musical dramedy got a vocal defense from the President of GLAAD, Jarrett Barrios, who told The Hollywood Reporter the following:

"Fair-minded Americans are tuning in by the millions to inclusive shows like 'Glee' and 'Modern Family' because they don’t care whether someone is straight or gay – what they care about is seeing characters and stories they can relate to."

Barrios made his comments in light of the criticism that followed "Born This Way," the 90-minute, self-acceptance and tolerance episode of Glee last week.

Glenn Beck Calls Glee A Horror Show

WTF?!

Glenn Beck went on an extremely long-winded rant on his Fox news show Thursday night, calling Glee a "horror show."

Yes, really.

Beck said that the show "stands out and stands against almost every value that I have" and added:

"I've watched it in stunned horror combined with a sense of admiring awe. It is a brilliant, brilliant show. Very well done. But it is a horror show."

He explains that the show is a "nightmare" because all the characters are "sleeping with everybody else," and that it promotes "self-gratification."

Um, yeah! That's what makes it so awesome!

LOLz, we kid, we kid. No, but seriously, Glenn needs to lighten up. It's a television show that provides entertainment and that's it.

He needs to focus his time and energy on REAL issues affecting today's youth. A show like Glee that promotes honesty, creativity, and being who you truly are is the LAST thing he needs to spend his time criticizing.

Glenn Beck Leaving NY, Developing New "Research Department"

glenn beck leaving ny and starting research department

We're not sure exactly how we feel about this…

Earlier this month, we learned that the ever-polarizing Glenn Beck would be phasing out his show on Fox and stepping down as host.

Now, Glenn Beck has announced that he'll be leaving New York, moving out of his Connecticut mansion, and developing a new "research department" with retired CIA and military.

Here's what he had to say about it:

“What you are about to see in a few months is a new way to communicate with each other. [I'm going to] build a way to deliver news directly to the youth of America.”

"I will be leaving New York City. As we build a new media I’m not building it in New York."

We are very skeptical about this, as we're sure is the case with plenty of you out there.

…Maybe we were better off when he was preaching to the world from Fox. Guess we'll find out soon…

What do U think about Glenn Beck's cryptic announcement?

Glenn Beck Show: Going Off the Air This Year

Published on April 6, 2011 By

The Hollywood Gossip

Controversial Fox News personality Glenn Beck has announced he will "transition off his daily program" on the network at an undetermined point later this year.

He will instead focus on developing other projects for the network.

Beck and Fox News released a joint statement regarding the decision, saying the final episode of Beck's show, titled Glenn Beck, will air "later this year."

Beck and Fox have not revealed the air date for the final episode.

The statement explains Beck and Fox News "will work together to develop and produce a variety of television projects for air on the FOX News Channel as well as content for other platforms including FOX News' digital properties."

Beck did not indicate if this decision was at all prompted by a sign from God. Speaking of such signs, how about that Japanese earthquake/tsunami! Wild.
