Michelle Obama Visits Tonight Show, Jay Leno Actually Eats Vegetables!

First Lady Michelle Obama cajoled Jay Leno into eating healthy foods for the first time in ... oh, ever during her visit to the Tonight Show on NBC Tuesday.

Promoting her “Let’s Move!” campaign to get kids excited about fitness and healthy diets, Michelle brought out some food to make an example out of Jay.

As both Jay and Michelle joked repeatedly about his eating habits, Leno sampled apples, sweet potato fries and a pizza made with eggplant, peppers and zucchini.

Could've used some sausage, but even Jay conceded it wasn't bad.

Michelle Obama encouraged Jay to dip his apple in honey made from beehives in the White House garden: “It will help it go down easier,” she said.

“'White House honey'? That just sounds bad,” Leno replied, adding, “You know, with a different president that could mean a whole different thing.”

In California to promote her initiative and attend a pair of fundraising events, Michelle also talked about her daughters and her husband's reelection campaign.

She even praised Mitt Romney singing at a recent event. Classy woman.

Last night, the biggest divas of the day went head to head in the ratings as both Madonna and Jennifer Lopez were guests on late night talk shows. Madonna appeared on The Tonight Show to talk about her upcoming Super Bowl show and album, while J.Lo chatted with David Letterman on The Late Show about American Idol and her ex-husband.

So who drew in more eyeballs? That would be .... Madonna!

No surprise to us! Madge's sit down with Jay Leno scored a 2.7 rating, beating Jenny from The Block just by a hair with her 2.6 rating.

Close race, but they don't call her the Queen of Pop for nothing!

Jay Leno Being Sued For Offensive Joke

Earlier this week, we reported on the fact that Jimmy Fallon is being sued for discrimination (for allegedly suing a male employee because he only likes to work with women) and now we are hearing about ANOTHER late night TV host, Jay Leno, being taken to court. What is going on? Is this a case of people being overly sensitive or our TV guys being insensitive and inappropriate?

So, apparently, a man is suing Jay because he is offended by a joke made about a sacred Sikh temple. On Thursday night, Jay told a joke mocking Mitt Romney by comparing his home to India’s Harmandir Sahib, the Golden Temple of Amritsar.

TMZ reports that Dr. Randeep Dhillon, a Sikh living in Bakersfield, is suing for general and punitive damages, claiming that Leno “falsely portrays the holiest place in the Sikh religion as a vacation resort owned by a non-Sikh.” The monologue joke, which was intended to poke fun at Romney’s extreme wealth, cut to a photo of the temple with a voiceover saying, “Here’s a look at Mitt Romney’s summer home on Lake Winnipesaukee,” after showing other Republicans’ modest homes.

Jay Leno Sued Over Sikh Mitt Romney Joke

Jay Leno is facing more than criticism over his recent joke at Mitt Romney's expense. A Bakersfield, Calif., resident is suing him over the Sikh comedic bit.

The punchline of the joke was that Romney, the very wealthy businessman and GOP presidential candidate, spends his summers in a solid gold palace.

Jay pulled up a photo of India's Harmandir Sahib, the Golden Temple of Amritsar, an extremely sacred building in the eyes of the Sikh people.

There's been a lot of outrage among Sikhs, but one man, Dr. Randeep Dhillon took his religious fervor one step further, filing a libel lawsuit against Leno.

Dhillon claims Jay is responsible for encouraging hatred and ridicule of his religion and is suing for general and punitive damages. The rationale there?

According to Randeep, Leno's Mitt Romney joke "falsely portrays the holiest place in the religion instead as a vacation resort owned by a non-Sikh."

LOL. Not to encourage Randeep suing us as well, but come on dog.

Jay Leno Takes Shot at Mitt Romney, Upsets Sikh Community

Mitt Romney's wealth and detachment - perceived or legitimate - from the common voter was certainly evident in Saturday's South Carolina primary results.

It also became fodder for late night comedians, or even Jay Leno for that matter. Sorry. Anyway, furing his monologue on Thursday, Jay got in on the act.

The Tonight Show host presented a clip from The Insider that included photos of the homes of presidential hopefuls Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul and Romney.

Only instead of revealing Romney's real summer home, the bit replaced the original shot with one of the Golden Temple of Amristar in India. Check it out:

The joke didn't go over very well with several Sikhs, who view the site as a sacred place. Overseas Indian Affairs Minister Vayalar Ravi told reporters:

"[Leno's attempt] at humor is quite unfortunate and quite objectionable," pointing out that "freedom does not mean hurting the sentiments of others."

What's more, a petition organized by members of the U.S. Sikh community claims this isn't the first time Leno has made such derogatory remarks.

"Jay Leno's racist comments need to be stopped right here," reads the petition.
