David Beckham Kicked Out of Kids’ Soccer Game

His Super Bowl ad got Roland Martin all fired up, but the CNN commentator isn't the only one making headlines for an incident involving David Beckham.

He may be the most famous soccer player in the world, but that didn't stop a referee from giving the 36-year-old a red card at a children's match in L.A.

Before his son Romeo took the field, "there was a penalty given" to a young player from another team, Beckham recalled on The Jonathan Ross Show.

"The kids are 7 years old and [the referee] sent the kid off. And I was like, 'Come on, he's 7 years old, referee! You can't send him off,'" Becks said.

"And he looked at me and was like, 'Yes, I can.'"

Beckham grew defiant and fought back, arguing: "You can't - he's 7 years old!' And [the ref] came over and he gave me a red card," the L.A. Galaxy star said.

"He told me to get out of the park. For real."

The British superstar/underwear model "went to the other side of the gate" for the duration of the game, "and I came back when my son's game was on."

"[It was] the environment, and plus they had no Chick-fil-A on campus," McKinzy said, asked why he didn't choose Clemson. "You had to go like, probably like 15 minutes off campus to go to like a real restaurant. Their café was kind of small."

Brutal. Never mind that there actually is a Chick-fil-A on Clemson's campus. A crucial fact apparently not highlighted on McKinzy's visit ... student tour guide FAIL!!

When the 48-year-old campaigns for the importance of health and physical fitness, she leads by example, as she proved today on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in L.A.

Michelle Obama accepted a bold challenge by DeGeneres to see who could do the most push-ups, with both women flinging off their dress coats on the spot.

Groundhog Day 2012 Results: Shadow! Winter to Continue!

Punxsutawney Phil, the groundhog, the myth, the legend, emerged from Gobbler's Knob this morning and saw his shadow, thus decreeing six more weeks of winter.

Of course, given the unseasonably warm temperatures and a lack of snow this winter throughout most of the northern U.S., maybe that's not the worst thing.

In any event, the central Pennsylvania celebrity made his annual weather forecast at daybreak Thursday before an overflow crowd of over 15,000 supporters.

According to legend and Groundhog Day folklore, Phil’s sighting of his own shadow on February 2 means there will be six more weeks of winter ahead of us.

Had Phil not it, it would have meant there will be an early spring.

Since the Groundhog’s first prediction in 1887, Phil has seen his shadow 99 times and failed to spot it just 16 times. There are 9 missing years in the record.

The official website of Punxsutawney Phil, perhaps not the most impartial source, claims the Groundhog has issued a correct forecast 100% of the time.

AccuWeather’s grade for the affable rodent’s weather prognostication skills is slightly lower than perfect, but still quite respectable at around 80 percent.
