It’s Official! Adam Levine And Cee-Lo Green Will Join NBC’s The Voice

Last week, we learned that Cee-Lo Green and Maroon 5's Adam Levine were in talks to join NBC/Mark Burnett's singing competition series The Voice, which is based on the top-rated series from the Netherlands, The Voice of Holland.

Now, we've learned that Cee-Lo and Adam have officially signed on for the show!

Here's what Burnett had to say about it:

“I am so happy that Adam Levine and Cee Lo Green have joined the coach panel for The Voice. Aside from being incredible voices, they bring years of experience in the music industry and a really cool vibe that has never been seen before on a music competition series.”

As a reminder, The Voice's format consists of four coaches who listen to, but don't watch singers, and if they like the singer, they push a button that sends them to the next round, to be claimed as one of their "students."

If the singer is liked by more than one judge/coach, the singer is allowed to choose which one will coach them, and then coaches will have teams go head-to-head against each other.

The show premieres on Tuesday, April 26, and one judge/coach seat is still (Read more...)

Adam Levine And Cee-Lo Green In Talks For NBC’s The Voice! And Possibly Xtina too!

Back in December we learned that Mark Burnett is developing a singing competition series The Voice for NBC, which is based on the top-rated series from the Netherlands, The Voice of Holland.

Burnett and NBC are currently in talks with Cee-Lo Green and Maroon 5's Adam Levine to join as judges.

There's also SOME talk that Christina Aguilera could be joining the show as well…but that should just be considered a rumor at this point. Inneresting rumor though…

NBC is hoping to close deals with Green and Levine this week, and then they'll sign on Xtina another judge next week.

OWN Scraps Talk Show

At least for now.

The Oprah Winfrey Network's already pulled the plug on her View-type talkshow that had Mark Burnett attached to produce.

The decision was made by the network's CEO Christina Norman, who didn't give a direct explanation except that they're focusing more on their primetime lineup.

OWN hopes to re-launch the hour-long gab fest in March.

Audrina’s Reality Show Picked Up By VH1

Although she faced a shocking elimination on Dancing with the Stars on Tuesday, Audrina Patridge isn't too upset! She will be the star of a new VH1 reality show.

Audrina said:

"The show with Mark Burnett got picked up by VH1 so the journey continues! It's a reality show about me and my family. Everything that people have wondered about me, they'll now get to see! And I hope Tony [Dovolani, her DWTS partner] will be on it! I'd love to make some trips to NY to see him because we are such good friends now!"

There's nothing I can really say. It was meant to be, I guess.

I've learned a lot about myself. I've found a new confidence. Since I'm not on The Hills anymore, I kind of get to get in touch with myself and what I want to do and make my own decisions. I feel like I'm just maturing more and more. There are so many things going around in my head right now."

At least she has that!

Oprah Doing Her OWN View-Type Show

Oprah Winfrey's OWN Network is developing a new multi-host talk show, similar to The View.

Mark Burnett will produce the daily talk show, along with also producing Oprah's Search for the Next TV Star

The series will premiere in January with the launch of the new network.

Cyndi Lauper Gets A Reality Show!

Cyndi Lauper will be filming a reality series featuring her family including her husband of 19 years actor David Thornton and their 12-year-old son Declyn.

Cyndi is teaming up with Survivor producer Mark Burnett for the currently untitled project.

We think Cyndi is great on TV so we're pretty excited for this one!

Oprah Wants To Give Someone A TV Show!

Here she goes again!

Now that Oprah Winfrey has a TV network all to herself, too perfectly called OWN, she's decided that she needs to share the wealth, and along with producer Mark Burnett, is launching a reality competition called Your Own Show: Oprah's Search for the Next TV Star!

Burnett explains:

"The landscape and acceptance of ordinary people on television is widely accepted … Much in the way 'American Idol' finds unknown people (to be recording stars) there's no reason we can't find someone who deserves their own show. Try to be authentically yourself. Show energy. Donald Trump gave me the greatest advice with 'The Apprentice': Find people with the greatest energy source … you'll be hard-pressed to show me someone who has their own show on TV who is not energetic and who has charisma."

Sounds pretty inneresting. We wonder if it will take off!

Sarah Palin Close To Infiltrating Your Home!

Prepare yourself America for a liberal hatin', moose huntin', igloo lovin' good time! Sarah Palin's reality show is almost a go!

We mentioned that the last time Sarah Palin ventured down to El Lay, she met with reality TV king Mark Burnett about creating a new reality, travelogue-type show about her home state of Alaska.

Though the duo took their pitch to the four major networks, they were resoundingly shut down.

However, there is hope for this crapstorm to make it on cable television and sources are reporting that by the beginning of next week, Sexy Sarah might have herself a deal with either A&E or the Discovery Network.

Start rehearsing on the flute, bb! Maybe they'll let you do the theme song!
