3 Stars, Including Russell Brand, Who Hate Getting Their Picture Taken

Most celebrities don’t like being followed around by paparazzi all day long, but Russell Brand let his temper get out of control recently when he spotted a photographer taking his picture with a cell phone. Brand has been named in a police report filed in New Orleans. Photographer Timothy Jackson accused Russell of causing “criminal damages” after snatching his iPhone out of his hand on Monday night. Jackson told police that he was with a whole group of paparazzi when he began using his phone to take pictures of Brand. Brand noticed him and stared freaking out, grabbed the phone, and threw it at a building close by, where it shattered a window. Jackson filed the police report almost immediately but hasn’t revealed whether or not he got his phone back. Russell has yet to comment on the incident, but apparently the cops want to talk to him soon in order to move along with their investigation of the charges.

Russell Brand was obviously not happy that Timothy Jackson was trying to take his picture, but that’s no excuse to react so aggressively. Brand isn’t the only star who gets a little carried away when it comes to the paparazzi though – they may not retaliate in the same way, but these stars also hate having their picture taken.

Leonardo DiCaprio

Leonardo DiCaprio often hides his face when he spots photographers nearby. He has even been captured by paparazzi trying to drive and cover his face at the same time, which isn’t the brightest idea. I guess he’s willing to go to great lengths to avoid getting his picture taken.

Mary-Kate Olsen Steps Out To Support Sister Elizabeth At The Silent House After-Party!

Just because Elizabeth Olsen wants to separate herself from her famous sisters, the Olsen twins, while she establishes herself as a serious actress, that doesn't mean she's not going to spend time with them!

Apparently, while attending the after-party for her new film, Silent House, in NYC, she was joined by Mary-Kate at the Stone Rose Lounge, where the pair spent the majority of the evening at a VIP table, surrounded by friends, and jamming to music from deejay Cassie Coane!

Aw! So sweet of MK to support her sibling!

Must have felt a little bit like she was passing on the acting torch!

Mary-Kate And Ashley Olsen Are Quitting Acting

A couple of weeks back we heard that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, were set to expand their empire with the appointment of FranCois Kress to head up their couture label, The Row. Kress comes with some serious credibility and a killer resume – before joining the Olsen empire, he was Prada’s US president and CEO and before that at Bulgari Corporation and LVMH. Today we’ve learned that the former child stars have announced that they are quitting acting to focus on their other pursuits.

Ashley and Mary-Kate have not done much acting for a while now and have concentrated instead on building up their fashion empire. As you know, they started acting when they were just 9 months old on the hit TV show Full House playing the one character, Michelle Tanner.

“We worked non-stop until we were 18. Then we decided to take a break and go to school — and that was when we decided to question whether we would carry on in entertainment,” the 25-year-old says in an interview with April’s ELLE U.K. “It was time to step behind the process. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s empire looks poised to expand (as if it wasn’t big enough already), with the appointment of FranCois Kress to head up their couture label, The Row. Mary-kate said “He quickly became the obvious choice for us and for the brand, having experience in multiple categories which we feel is essential for growth of The Row” and Ashley added “His experience and sensibility will add great value to The Row in its next phase of development.”

They’ve certainly come a long way since their Michelle Tanner days in Full House. They may not be as adorable, but these girls know how to get it done. A few days we heard about Demi Moore having checked-into the posh rehab center, Cirque Lodge, in Utah. Now info is emerging about how much that treatment center costs and who else has been there. Read on for all the details.

So… here are some of the deets… Cirque Lodge costs $30,000 for a 30 day treatment cycle, so roughly $1,000 per day. The lodge is located in the magnificent mountain setting of Sundance and claims to be “the nation’s finest drug treatment centers providing services for alcohol and substance abuse”.

What will Demi have on offer?

There is over 100,000 square feet in the multi-story Studio which is surrounded by over twelve private acres. Sleeping rooms for residents are first-class, and amenities include a sauna, exercise and recreation rooms.Stunning views from each room help residents connect with their higher power. The lower level of the drug Cirque Lodge Drug Rehab Center in Sundance and alcohol rehab center contains residents rooms, laundry and a fully equipped exercise room and sauna.

3 Stars, Including Demi Moore, Who Check Into Upscale Rehab Centers

It was reported last week that Demi Moore was seeking “spiritual counseling,” but now she’s seeking a different kind of counseling. Moore has checked into Cirque Lodge, the upscale addiction treatment center in Sundance, Utah. Sources say she is being treated for both an eating disorder and addiction issues. Her way of coping with stress was obviously “not working” and she decided she needed more help. The 49-year-old is “on total lockdown” and only has contact with a small group of people. Demi checked into rehab soon after her January 23 hospitalization, which discredits reports that both Bruce Willis and Ashton Kutcher visited her in her home last week. She managed to check in without the media finding out about it immediately – how did she get away with that? The actress started gathering her belongings from her home in the days following her hospitalization. She was then quickly taken away to Utah for treatment without anyone noticing.

Demi Moore is taking measures to assure her health gets back to normal. Many other celebrities also seek treatment for their addictions and disorders, often at luxurious treatment facilities. Here are a few stars that have checked into lavish rehab centers.

Mary-Kate Olsen spent time at Cirque Lodge as well in 2004 when she was just eighteen years old. Though many reports claimed she was seeking treatment for drug addiction, she insists she was treated for anorexia. Cirque Lodge offers its patients gyms, saunas, Jacuzzis, fireplaces, and media rooms and costs about $30,000 per month.

Ben Affleck

Ben Affleck checked himself into rehab in August 2001 at Promises, a Malibu alcohol rehabilitation center. Affleck sought help after realizing “a fuller life awaits him without alcohol.” Promises is located near the beach and expects their guests to relax. It costs (Read more...)
