Matthew proudly adds:

Festival de Cannes is finally underway and there are a TON of intriguing independent films for sale.
Harvey Weinstein purchased the last two Best Picture winners (The King’s Speech and The Artist) in Cannes and you can be sure he’s on the lookout for more!!
Martin Scorcese’s The Wolf of Wall Street is one of the biggest titles out there, with Leo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill helping tell the true story of a party-boy stockbroker who spent 22 months in jail.
Hmmm... Sounds fun!
There are a bunch of depressing period pieces, including Jennifer Lawrence’s Serena which sounds like a Hunger Games spin-off in North Carolina and also the Jeremy Renner flick American Dream, about Polish immigrant prostitutes in the '20s and the magicians who love them.
We aren't making this stuff up!
Hawkeye isn’t the only Avenger represented. Captain America Chris Evans stars in The Iceman, the true story of a notorious contract killer. The Hulk Mark Ruffalo stars next to Keira Knightley in the NYC set Can A Song Save Your Life?
And we’re TOTES excited to see ScarJo in Under the Skin, a Species rip-off about a murderous alien disguised as the (Read more...)
"It wasn’t in the script, but Soderbergh said in the beginning that if it felt right, I could strip at the end of the movie. I said, 'I gotta dance, man.' I would regret it for the rest of my life if I was in a male stripper movie and didn’t get up there and strip myself. ...At first it was scary as hell, but then it became like a drug, and I couldn’t wait to do it again. Look, I love to dance, but I’ve never been a stripper. Channing’s one of the best hip-hop street dancers I’ve ever seen, and I didn’t want to challenge his style, so I worked on my own strengths. I also knew that my dance had to be the dirtiest. It had to be wonderfully filthy. That’s all me up there. I don’t need a stunt ass."
- Matthew McConaughey, on his Magic Mike strip scene, to The Advocate
If you're looking for a movie that isn't suitable for ANYBODY under the age of 17, this might be it.
Matthew McConaughey gets in touch with his dark side in the trailer park noir Killer Joe. The actor plays a crooked detective who moonlights as a hitman for hire. When a debt puts Emile Hirsch's life in danger, he calls on Killer Joe to dispose of his mother in order to collect on her life insurance money.
From the looks of it, however, things don't go according to plan. Life lesson #294: Never trust a hitman.
Check out the trailer (above) to see your first glimpse of this NC-17 crime thriller!
Looks inntesting ... but we just can't stop thinking about what Magic Mike would look like if it was rated NC-17! Mmm!
Our dynamic dysfunctional detective duo landed in capable hands!!
We mentioned a few weeks ago that Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson are joining forces to hunt serial killers on TV and now the show has finally found a home.
After a lengthy and expensive bidding war, HBO secured the rights to True Detectives.
This is exciting news!!
Matt and Woody have to be riding high, too -- things are looking up for them these days!
After headlining the critically acclaimed Rampart and co-starring in the universally adored Hunger Games franchise, Harrelson’s career has been on more fire than the contestants from District 12.
McConaughey, meanwhile, is also helping Channing Tatum get undressed in June's Magic Mike.
Detectives will be shot on location in Louisiana and we have to think Matt and Woody (both Texans) will just OOZE Southern charm.
We can’t wait to see the boys in action!!

Sounds like one film festival is going to go out with a bang! Ha!
It was recently announced that Magic Mike, the upcoming film about male strippers starring Channing Tatum and Matthew McConaughey, will have its WORLD premiere at the El Lay Film Festival!
Though the flick’s official release date is June 29, it is set be screened on the last night of the LA Film Festival, on June 24 in downtown Los Angeles.
The film fest kicks off June 14 with Woody Allen’s To Rome With Love and will also feature the upcoming Chris Pine and Elizabeth Banks film, People Like Us.
The festival received over 5,283 submissions this year, with only 200 features, short films and music videos getting chosen!
On top of 30 world premiere screenings, fans of Patrick Swayze’s Dirty Dancing can gather for a Dance-A-Long on June 22nd, to celebrate the film’s 25th anniversary!
...guess Channing Tatum's moves won't be the ONLY dirty dancing going on, LOLz!
Wow! Sounds like there'll be something for EVERYBODY at this year's festival!
We MUST see the seksiness that is Magic Mike...!!!!
Now, if only we could find a way to squeeze Zac Efron into (Read more...)
Time to turn down the shades, light some candles, and grab a Real Housewife-sized glass of Pinot.
We're about to talk about True Blood's yummiest wolfie Joe Manganiello - and thongs.
The Magic Mike hottie plays a male stripper in the upcoming film (mmmm), which means, lucky for us, he had to get up close and personal with some banana hammocks.
Talking about getting used to wearing floss between dem juicy cheeks, Joe said:
"I wore these little thongs that literally go up your butt, and it definitely takes getting used to. It was uncomfortable at first. It sort of felt like a wedgie, but once you get into the routine of wearing one, you know what to do and you just do your thing. We all had to suffer a bit for our craft.
I have so much respect for all women who choose to wear them. It's not easy wearing one."
And we thank you for your sacrifice, good sir.
Now that you've got us all hot and bothered, Mr. Manganiello, we think it's time to take a little break...
In the meantime, get ready to check out Joe and other smokin' hot hunks, Charming Channing (Read more...)
