This is just so disheartening. We don't know what is going on with her, but we hope she gets all the help she so desperately needs soon.
This week, Sinead O'Conner was the focus of media scrutiny again after she took to her Twitter page with a long, terrifying plea for help from her followers. She reached out in hopes of find a psychiatrist as she allude she was in "serious danger" without her medication.
Turns out, things were far worse than anyone thought. When Sinead went to the hospital for her ankle injury last week, she nearly killed herself by overdosing on pills. Two days later, the day of Twitter pleas, she tried to do it again.
Omg. Poor thing. To want to hurt yourself like that ... she must be in a lot of pain.

Sounds like a fair penalty to us!
Earlier this week, poor Reese Witherspoon was hit by a car while jogging around her neighborhood. The driver, an 84-year old woman was cited by the police at the scene, and is now being forced to retake her driver's test.
Within the next 30 days, by order of the Santa Monica police department, the woman must complete a full re-examination as well as take an eye exam and provide official with a list of all the medication she's taking.
Hope she's an early bird. She's gonna be standing in a lot of lines!!!

We're hoping that you've gotten a doctor's opinion on this move, Adam!
Counting Crows' Adam Duritz claims that he suffers from a "severe mental illness," but he's saying that he's less crazy now and doesn't feel he needs his medication any longer.
Here's what he had to say about on his Facebook page:
"I was f**king crazy. I needed meds. I took meds. Now I'm less crazy. I need less meds. I'm stopping meds."
"Gotta keep pushing/get off this sh*t. Going faster than I should but it still takes too long."
And here's what Adam said about his condition back in 2008:
"I have a form of dissociative disorder that makes the world seem like it’s not real, as if things aren’t taking place. It’s hard to explain, but you feel untethered."
According to Adam, he's been taking Lithium, but he's now cut his dosage in half, which has caused "vicious withdrawal symptoms."
As long as he's gotten a doctor's approval, we think it's great that he wants to cut back on his medication. Lithium is powerful stuff!
Good luck, Adam!

Back in March, we met Martha Stewart's granddaughter Jude (above), and we thought she was totally precious!
Now, Martha's daughter Alexis Stewart has spoken up about becoming a mother. Here's what she had to say about the process:
“Getting Jude was lucky. I’m happy, but this has been rough.”
Certainly sounds like it WAS rough! According to Alexis, she saw several doctors and had to spend as much as $27,000/month on IVF procedures, and $6,000 more on medication! Wowsa!
Once she finally met Dr. John Zhang at Manhattan's New Hope Fertility Center though, she was able to bring her monthly costs waaaay down to around $5,000.
More from Alexis on her long road to becoming a mother:
“This is my other job that I don’t talk about, but if you’re lucky enough to be able to afford it and you have time, what’s the downside?”
Certainly can't blame her! All that hard work and money seems to have paid off quite well - just look at baby Jude's face! SO cute!
We continue to wish your new family all the best, Alexis! Send some more pics!

Truly heartbreaking.
Mike Starr, the Alice In Chains bass player who was tragically found dead yesterday, was reportedly mixing methadone and anxiety medications only hours before his passing.
According to his roommate, the musician was using methadone recently in an effort to get sober, but had also been taking anxiety meds to battle issue resulting from an arrest last month.
He reveals:
"Mike was a beautiful person who was fighting to stay sober…I am going to miss him greatly."
So unbelievably sad. We guess as hard as he tried, he never could overcome his addictions.
Our thoughts stay with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Thankfully, he is okay!
Yesterday, the former Price Is Right host, Bob Barker, gave us all a scare after he collapsed at an El Lay shooting range. Sources at the scene say that Bob fainted in the middle of shooting, but regained consciousness when the ambulance arrived.
Bob's rep informed sources that Bob was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and doctors concluded that it was a mixture of dehydration and a reaction to his blood thinner medication. But all is well, as Bob should be released from Cedars soon and he'll just have to take it easy for awhile.
Well, yeah! The man is 86-years-old. If ever there was a time to calm it down…
Feel better, Bob! While you're in Cedars, make sure you influence your nurses to have their pets spayed or neutered.

When Michael Lohan wakes up in the morning, he takes a sip of haterade, then pulls the lever on his See 'n Say to find out who he should harp on that day for attention.
This morning, the lucky bastards are his daughter's doctors!
Papa Lohan has his lawyer, Lisa Bloom, looking into an investigation of Lindsay Lohan's doctors. Michael believes that the Attorney General of California should make the time to look into the "unscrupulous doctors" who allegeldy "overprescribe medications to [Lindsay]."
Michael still stands by his claims that Lindsay is an addict, one who continues to get legally high on pills through a "giant legal loophole." And just to make things that more interesting, Michael cites Anna Nicole Smith's case and urges the Attorney General to give him LiLo that same amount of attention.

Scary!
Larry King's wife Shawn overdosed on pills on May 28 and it was her father Karl Engemann who discovered her unconscious in her Provo, Utah home!
He told the 911 operator:
“She may have overmedicated. I don’t think she did it on purpose. Last night she seemed confused about what she had taken, the last time she had taken it…No, no. No, it wouldn’t be suicidal.
“She’s unconscious. I slap her and I holler at her and she opens her eyes half way and puts them back down again. I left my daughter here last night and she was fine. I come this morning she’s supposed to have a meeting in a while and she just seems to be out of it.”
Engemann didn't know what medication his daughter was taking, but he said it was "something to help with her anxiety and her depression."
Shawn went to rehab in 2008 for an addiction to prescription pain pills.
Sad, sad.
We hope she's okay!

We hate to say this, but we knew he would be talking to the press QUITE a bit about this tragedy.
Corey Feldman appeared on Larry King Live last night to talk about his friend Corey Haim's apparent prescription drug overdose, and he is LASHING out at all the people he thinks are waxing poetic about the '80s icon.
Feldman says:
"At the end of the day, Larry, where were all these people the last 10 years, the last 15 years of Corey's life? Where were all these people to lend a hand out, to reach out to him and say, you know, you're a legend, you're – you're an amazingly talented, wonderful person who's really never gone out of his way to hurt anybody other than himself? You see these people making great statements and that's wonderful and I hope they're all there for the memorial and I hope they're all there for the funeral. But where were they during his life?"
He claims Haim had virtually no money, no car, and was living at a month-to-month rental apartment with his cancer-stricken mother.
"He shaped up. He got his act together. When his mom got ill, it was (Read more...)
