Early last month we got our first look at the first promo photo released from the upcoming reboot/sequel film The Bourne Legacy. As you may recall, we learned last year that actor Jeremy Renner would be stepping into the leading man role vacated by Matt Damon — the man who starred in first 3 Bourne films. Today we get to check out the first movie poster and teaser video trailer released for the new Bourne film. Click below to check out Jeremy Renner in action as the new Bourne action hero.

Yes, it’s true that there has never just one “Jason Bourne“. If you recall from the Bourne films, there were a bunch of soldier/agents in the clandestine Treadstone government program. This new film will focus on one of those other super soldier/agents … new character Aaron Cross. Here is our first look at Aaron Cross in action:

HMMM … so I guess this Aaron Cross fellow is even more badass than Jason Bourne was … I guess we’ll just see about that. I’m comforted by the fact that there are a lot of familiar faces in The Bourne Legacy … it looks like all they (Read more...)

He was brilliant in 50/50 and now Joseph Gordon-Levitt will make his directorial debut on an new comedy he’ll star in with the beautiful, Scarlett Johansson. He wrote the script, but we don’t have too many details about the new film. We do know that it is a “sexy comedy” and Joseph plays the role of a “selfish dick.” Read on for more details about this new venture for the actor turned director.

His leaD role as a cancer patient in 50/50 made people really stand up and notice Joseph as an actor. Most people knew him before, most probably as the star of 3rd Rock From The Sun, but now he is viewed as one of the actors to watch in Hollywood. He has had a few really strong roles including The Lookout and Inception. Despite his success as an actor he has told reporters that he has always had a burning desire to direct.

“I was a child actor for years and quit at 19, went to school awhile, and a big part of why I came back was that I ultimately wanted to make movies,” Gordon-Levitt said. “I spent a year (Read more...)

Animation-palooza

As I took care of a few things around the house, I managed to get a lot of movie watchin’ done yesterday. Because I’m still reading a biography on the life story of Walt Disney, I’ve really been interested in re-watching his classic animated feature films. After I read a chapter on the creation of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, I just had to watch the film. This week, I’ve read up to the creation of the Disney classics Pinocchio and Fantasia so I decided to dig out my DVDs and give those films a new look. I had some extra time so I watched Dumbo, too. It was a veritable animation film fest here at my humble abode … and a fun one at that.

I was surprised to realize how disorganized the Pinocchio film really is. Watching it as a kid, you don’t pay attention to such things … but rewatching the film in adulthood, you start to notice the flaws. Pinocchio as a feature film is really made up of 4 short stories — Pinocchio‘s creation, his brush with acting, his brush with temptation on Paradise Island and the rescue of his (Read more...)

Vince Vaughn And Owen Wilson Together Again In A New Film

Published on February 8, 2012 By

Pink Is The New Blog

Oh, I love these two together! Wedding Crasher fans take note – we are going to be seeing a re-pairing of the venerable duo, Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. The movie is Interns, a script Vaughn has written. Read below for the details about this new movie and the return of the Owen and Vince.

They have been apart for a while busy with their own projects and now both actors are able to work together so Fox quickly scooped them up. They’re perfect for the roles, if not because it sounds like something they’ve done before. They play 40-something men who get laid off from their jobs and resolve to become interns at a new dotcom company and end up competing against 20 year olds for the jobs and promotions.

While this story probably will lend itself for great comic timing the two are so well known for, I worry the premise itself isn’t as good as Wedding Crashers and the repairing wont advance them much further. Still, having said that, I am so excited to see these two together again if not just because I loved them in Wedding Crashers. They just make the sweetest odd (Read more...)

Denzel Washington In Talks To Star In New Mark Wahlberg Film ’2 Guns’

Denzel Washington, the star of Safe House, which comes out this weekend, is already in talks to take on another action drama… Mark Wahlberg’s new film, 2 Guns. The film is based on the novel by Steven Grant and will be directed by Baltasar Kormakur who just did Contraband, with Mark. Read on for some more of the details about the film..

Denzel just finished the high budget film, Flight, which is about a pilot with a dark secret who manages to land a commercial airliner and saves the passengers. This new film if he takes it, would show his darker side…undercover agent and intelligence investigate one another and plan to rip off the mob… kind of reminds me of Italian Job maybe? I think it is the perfect role for Denzel, in my opinion. I think he would do a stellar job on a new Wahlberg flick, their acting panache together would be electrifying. I loved Denzel in Man on Fire, Training Day and American Gangster, all “bad ass” characters…

We had news a few weeks ago about Mark also working on the Entourage film, but no details about this has been released (Read more...)

Abe Lincoln Brings Back Evil Vampire Genre

Yes, we all love Edward and fam, but Abe Lincoln is hear to kick vampire butt!

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter hits theaters June 22nd and it brings back the old adage, "Vampires are bad."

In the flick, vampires are just downright evil and Honest Abe has to take them out.

Benjamin Walker, who plays Abe, comments on the film:

It’s not a sermon in any way, but it is interesting to look at vampires as the all-encompassing, unspeakable, unknowable evil. This evil moves among us, and maybe lives next door. It’s an ideology that we don’t fully understand, but they live by it.

It’s told through the structure of Lincoln’s actual life. You not only see these huge fight scenes and great moments of drama, but you get sort of the greatest hits of Lincoln’s life, from the mysterious death of his mother through the Gettysburg address,
You get a portrait of this man, as well as a thriller.

Well put, Ben!

While it sounds hokey and cartoonish, the film promises to deliver on history as well as fun.

We can't wait for this movie to come out!!!

First Look: ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ Releases A Full Length Movie Trailer

Back in July of last year, we got our very first look at the teaser trailer for the upcoming superhero film The Amazing Spider-Man. Today we get to check out the first full length trailer for the film. Thus far, we’ve seen promo photos and promo posters and on set photos from the filming of Spider-Man but right now we get our first good look at the film itself. Click below to check out the new web slinger in action.

Woot!! It looks good, don’t it? I’m loving all the quick glimpses that we get of the villainous Lizard in this trailer. He is going to make an excellent nemesis for Spider-man to battle. I’m really looking forward to watching Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone bring the first love affair of Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy to life on the big screen (kind of like the real life romance between Andrew and Emma). I’ve been impressed with each and every promo thing we’ve gotten from The Amazing Spider-Man, and this trailer is no exception. I love this trailer, do you?

‘Rocky’ Of Ages

Pink Is The New Blog

Last night was a very quite night for me. I pretty much spent most of my time reading and watching TV. I wasn’t planning on settling in for a movie last night but I came upon a showing of Rocky II on cable and was immediately sucked in. I haven’t seen any of the Rocky movies in many years … and as for Rocky II itself, well, I’m quite certain I haven’t watched the movie in full for well over 25 years. Thankfully, I caught the film right as it started and, well, it was a Rocky night for me ;)

I have to say, I kinda love the usual Rocky movie formula … the first 60% of the film features Rocky refusing to fight. The next 20% of the film features Rocky deciding to fight and then training to fight. The next 8% of the film features Rocky getting beaten to a pulp by whoever he is fighting. And the final 2% of the film features Rocky coming back to win in the end. We can’t help but root for Rocky because he is always the underdog. It’s a brilliant formula. To be honest, I think Rocky IV is (Read more...)
