Looks like Snooki and JWoww get to stay in Jersey!
After being shut down by Hoboken, Jersey City has agreed to let MTV film the girls' spinoff there.
Jersey City is New Jersey second biggest city and mayor Jerramiah Healy has no qualms about Snooki and JWoww coming to his city.
Mayor Healy said the following about the show:
My view is the more people that see anything about Jersey City and see what we have in Jersey, the better it is for Jersey City.
Until these girls wreck havoc all over it, then maybe not so much!
Production is scheduled to begin this month. We'll see how these girls do without Seaside Heights.

What is wrong with people?! Why can't we just act like decent human beings?!
Luckily, the FBI has found the person who has been sending horrible death threats to Taylor Armstrong over Twitter.
We can't even believe someone thought they could do THIS without repercussion:
@Hardboiledpeggs: "see u on February 7 ill be there with a book and a rope so i can kidnap u"
Taylor: "Don't ever contact me again."
@hardboiledpeggs: "Turn around bright eyes every now and then, Kennedy's dead."
Taylor: "Don't ever contact me again."
That Twitter handle was then deleted. It takes a sick person to also threaten the lives of children.
The scary part, other than the threats themselves, was that Taylor DOES have a book signing on February 7th in New Jersey.
Like we said, though, the FBI has found this person. Here's what a source said about it:
"The FBI has identified a suspect that made the threats, they know who it is. The suspect doesn't live in California, and the public will be shocked to learn who it is. Taylor and Kennedy are safe and secure."
We wonder who it was??
Despite this, the signing event will have increased security. Thank goodness!
Don't worry about this TOO much! There other wonderful places to shoot in New Jersey! LOLz!
Last we heard about Snooki and Jwoww's Jersey Shore spinoff back in January 2011, they had shot preliminary footage for their show in Long Island.
Guess they decided to keep it in the Jerz, because we're hearing that they tried to get a film permit in Hoboken, NJ...but were DENIED!
Here's what Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer wrote about it on the city's website:
"Based on protecting public safety and quality of life concerns for Hoboken residents, the city has denied a film permit for a spin-off of the Jersey Shore to be filmed in public locations."
And more from Mayor Zimmer:
"Any attempts to film in a manner that is not permitted without a permit will be dealt with immediately and aggressively by the city of Hoboken."
Yikes! Mayor Zimmer isn't messing around!
We understand why the city would have mixed feelings about this, BUT it would bring looooooots of tourism! Just sayin'!

Last night at the SAG Awards, while 30 Rock didn't walk away with the big ensemble award of the night, they did have some very exciting news to celebrate. One of their own just got engaged!
Katrina Bowden hit the red carpet flaunting her new engagement ring, which her BF Ben Jorgensen gave to her the night before. Ben, who Katrina has grown up with since her early days in New Jersey, got down on one knee at a private suite in the Four Seasons and surprised Katrina with the beautiful platinum band and a massive rock!
Wowza! Lucky girl!
A whole-hearted congrats to the happy couple! We're glad you've found each other!

Bruce Springsteen fans, rejoice! You'll get to see The Boss perform in less than two months!!!!
Last week, Bruce provided the world with LOTS of updates on his upcoming album, including a track list and video for his first single We Take Care of Our Own!
Now, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have announced a 19-date Wrecking Ball tour, which stars up on March 18th!
The tour will kick off at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, GA, and it'll end on May 2nd at Newark, NJ's Prudential Center!
11 days after the band's U.S. tour ends, they'll hit up Europe for a long summer tour...and then they're expected to perform more shows in America later in the year.
Tickets go on sale this friday, so make sure U've got some extra $$$ available, Bruce fans!!!

Even back in the early 90s, before sex came to the city and the mob took over New Jersey, HBO was putting out provocative TV to talk about. One of their first original series was a show called Dream On, which took stabs at social class friction, politics and just general human relationships.
Yeah, we know that sounds kind of vague, but you're going to get a better sense of what we are talking about when you watch this episode of the show that originally aired October 10th, 1992. Not only does the episode stand the test of time with its writing, but it is a pivotal part of television history as it was Salma Hayek's first major English-speaking role.
And you know what? She might have tamed her hair since then, but she does not look a second older to this day! She is just as flawless now as she was back then!

Catwoman might marry her man in the Garden State!
Rumor has it Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman could wed in Cape May.
It's where Anne's parents are, and it's where they'd love to see her walk down the aisle. Of course, "there's no pressure."
Since Anne and Adam share an apartment in New York City, it wouldn't be too far away, but we'll wait and see where she finally decides!!
But if she does do Jersey, how fun would it be if she got the girls from The Gatsby to do her hair and make-up, LOL!

This morning, Kelly Ripa was joined by David Hyde Pierce as her co-host on Live! and he marked the ocassion by sharing some very happy news with their audience. Back in the fall, David directed a musical comedy called It Shoulda Been You at George Street Playhouse and that show is now headed to Broadway!
The New Jersey production starred Lisa Howard, Tom Deckman, among others, but there has been no official announcement concerning casting or an opening date.
We haven't seen it ourselves, but we've heard good things about the production about a young couple facing the alter as well as conflicting parents, religions and the reappearance of the bride's ex!
Such a farce! LOL! Congrats, David! Looking forward to the show in fall 2012! Woo!

Once upon a time, there was a little girl in New Jersey named Lea Sarfati. Growing up, she had a hard time with mean kids in school coming up with cruel nicknames for her because of her surname. We won't dare share some of them with you, but the story goes that when that little girl grew up to be an actress, she changed her name in her first audition to ... Lea Michele!
And here we are!
