Robert Downey, Jr., says we should forgive Mel Gibson. Oksana Grigorieva has signaled willingness to do that, but only on her terms ... which aren't being met.
Mel's former lover was back in court today after her settlement with the actor hit a snag. It looked like they were poised to let bygones be bygones. Maybe not.
Oksana and Mel struck a deal in which Oksana would walk away with $750,000, the house she's living in, and some other stuff ... and in turn leave Mel alone.
They also agreed to 50/50 custody of their daughter, Lucia. It's unclear what changed, but something about the final terms of the deal has set her off.
The settlement agreement is scheduled to go before the family court judge tomorrow for final approval, but we're told the lawyers are still fighting over wording.
Word is they've reached a stalemate, as well.
Mel's lawyers have asked the judge for more time so they can hash it out, but Oksana Grigorieva showed up today to fight that request. She wants it done now.
Judge Scott Gordon gave Mel and Oksana a brief extension to sort out their many differences, but only until November 1 (Read more...)

Mel Gibson is taking issue with legal documents filed by Oksana Grigorieva's lawyer -- which state that Mel paid $100,000 to Oksana's son Alexander Dalton, the son she had with actor Timothy Dalton.Mel Gibson will be paying Oksana Grigorieva's son, Alexander Dalton, $100,000.
With that settlement, the teenager waives his right to sue the troubled actor.
Oksana's lawyers were trying to get Gibson to pay Alexander $500,000 for allegedly terrorizing the boy during the blowout between Oksana and Mel.
Oksana just keeps milking Mel.
The altercation between the then-lovers in January 2009 sparked allegations of abuse, later discussed (and argued about) on the Mel Gibson tapes.
Oksana also alleged Mel pushed the boy onto a table on a separate occasion.
According to legal documents, Mel agreed in a settlement to pay the boy $100,000, but there is a complete waiver on Alexander's part to sue Gibson.

Can't get much uglier than THIS!
To recap...yesterday morning, Page Six Magazine featured a story in which Tiger Woods' alleged mistress Rachel Uchitel allegedly said the following disturbing things about 9/11:
"I believe Andy [my fiance] was meant to die because he was too good. It would have been tragic if we got into fights and then divorced…I'm glad I didn't get to see any flaws that time brings on everyone. I would [otherwise] be a fat housewife with three kids living in Sands Point, Long Island."
Rachel was FURIOUS with the story and said she was misquoted, but the NY Post said they were standing by their story.
Looks like Rachel isn't going to accept that, because she just hired lawyers Daniel Horowitz and Marty Garbus to go after the NY Post for the story they printed in Page Six Mag.
And yes, those are the same lawyers who repped Oksana Grigorieva in that horrific, neverending custody battle with Mel Gibson!
Rachel's new lawyer Horowitz is calling the story "a disastrously false impression of my client," and that it's "attacking, degrading and extraordinarily inaccurate."
Horowitz is also demanding an apology be made to Rachel and he wants (Read more...)

It finally is all over between Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva, who settled their custody dispute in court. But there is a lingering disagreement on one point.
Oksana's lawyers touted her music credentials in court, but Mel made it clear (a bit more eloquently than on his taped rants) he deeply regrets supporting her career.
Mel says he spent a small fortune to produce a CD and video, and even paid for a studio for the "horrible" singer he's now "embarrassed" to have promoted.
As he said in one of the tapes, she just can't hang. Take a listen below and see if you think Oksana sucks at singing as bad as Mel thinks she does ...
