Mandy Moore is coming to ABC in a new pilot directed by Shawn Levy. Mandy will star as a newlywed who get to run a chic, new restaurant that is closer to her needy family.
What kind of shenanigans will her family get her into?!
The show will be a single camera comedy and is untitled at the moment.
We're excited to see where Mandy takes this show!

Last night, the premiere of SMASH debuted on NBC and those of you who resisted the temptation of downloading the pilot on iTunes and watching it OnDemand finally got a chance to see it in all it's glory. We invite anyone who wants to to disagree with us, but in our opinion, that might be the best drama pilot episode of a new series since Lost. The talent, the story, the music -- it all fit together so seamlessly and brilliantly. Stand outs for us included the impeccable, scene-stealing efforts of the legendary Anjelica Huston and the captivating voice of Megan Hilty, whose character wasn't who we thought she would be -- and we were pleasantly surprised by that.
But enough about our thoughts. We want to get yours! And in order to do that, we'd like to share with you all the performances from last night's pilot episode! And now he's been cast alongside Kelsey Grammer!
It is with great pleasure (and equal parts confusion) that we announced that the beauty that is Jonathan Groff has landed a series regular role on the Starz series Boss. While the show is an award-winning program and critically-acclaimed, we can't say we know too many people who watch it, so we're wondering why The Groff would op to play one of Kelsey's staffers (Grammer's character is the mayor of Chicago) when it's pilot season and he could easily nab a new show for himself.
But his people probably know best and at the end of the day, we're just thrilled the hottie is getting work ... work that won't interfere with him coming back to Glee before it's too late.

ABC loves Sarah Chalke!
The Scrubs star not only has a recurring role on Cougar Town, but now she's signed on to a new ABC pilot called How to Live with Your Parents for the Rest of Your Life.
The show revolves a single mom who moves in with her eccentric parents.
This will be the third show that ABC has given Sarah to headline in - let's hope this one works for her!

You're right! It sounds awesome! And it just got a pilot ordered by ABC -- so chances are, we'll get to see it!
It's called The Smart One, and will star Rossi.
Here's what it's about:
Arrested Development and Ally McBeal alumna de Rossi plays one of them, a brilliant and successful woman who has to go to work for her less brainy but more popular sister — a former beauty queen, weather girl … and now big city Mayor.
That sounds pretty great, and everything Portia's been in recently has been incredible, including the very underrated Better Off Ted (we wish it was still on!).
So, we hope they knock it out of the park and we get to see at least a full season!

Don't worry, Desperate Housewives fans!
The series may be coming to an end this year, but creator Marc Cherry has a brand new one in the works that was just ordered to pilot for ABC! And it pretty much sounds exactly the same - except with maids, this time!
According to the one-hour drama's logline:
"Devious Maids"
Based on the Mexican format, this soap follows four maids with ambition and dreams of their own while they work for the rich and famous in Beverly Hills. Written and executive produced by Marc Cherry through ABC Studios. Sabrina Wind is also attached to executive produce.
Breaking that story must have been a real stretch for him, huh?
We kid! We kid!
It actually could be very different, and very good! Or at least trashy and addictive!
But we think it deserves a better title!

We're like a week away from the premiere! How did that happen???

Office fans rejoice!!! Again!!!
Mindy Kaling is joining the club of Office-rs to get her own show. Kaling will be switching networks and starring a Bridget Jones-type doctor on Fox.
The actress will write, exec. produce, and star in the comedy. If the series gets picked, then its bye-bye to The Office.
Kaling has talked of playing an OB-GYN for some time so this can be her time to shine!
