He may have been standing up for what he believes in, but now, he's going to have to do it again in a court of law!
Noah Wyle and 73 others were arrested late in April for protesting Congress' decision to cut Medicaid with the disability-advocacy group ADAPT in the rotunda of the Cannon House Office Building in D.C., and now, they all must be appear in court next Tuesday!
One such member, Marsha Katz, whose husband is in a wheelchair, says:
"I'm shocked and angry. This is the first time in more than 20 years that the court wouldn't allow an attorney to represent us and wouldn't entertain a motion to postpone. Are they doing this to dissuade us from exercising our First Amendment rights?"
Wow! Sounds like they're really trying to make an example of these people!
Not cool!
You guys did a very brave thing, holding your ground and forcing such a serious issue to get the attention it deserves!

Coach Sue Jane Lynch gets political for the gays and we LOVE it!
Jane appeared on The Rachel Maddow Show recently, filling in for the broadcast journalist during the Best New Thing in the World Today segment.
And what was the best new thing? A growth opportunity for republican political strategists concerning same-sex couples!
Jane points out that the pro marriage equality stance in America is steadily gaining popularity, so if the Republican party twerked their discourse to be pro-gay marriage, favor and $$$ would start pouring in!
Technically, the government interfering in ANY individual's business - and that includes marriage - goes against the republican party's fundamental message of small government.
Thus, Republicans should technically be PRO marriage equality.
Oh Jane, your sharp wit delights us so! And we are SMITTEN with the en-pointe Rachel Maddow impression...

MTV does not want to risk losing any viewers to Barack Obama and has decided to start the Video Music Awards an hour earlier on September 6th, the same day as the Democratic National Convention.
The show was originally scheduled to run from 9-11pm, but since the democratic nominee traditionally delivers an acceptance speech at 10pm, the network decided to bump the show up an hour so it runs 8-10pm instead.
At least MTV's younger viewers can get an extra hour of sleep before waking up for school the next day. Parents rejoice!

Remember when there was a decent chance that the golden boy with the charming smile from North Carolina might be our next President?
Neither do we!!
The defense unexpectedly rested its case on Wednesday in John Edwards’s campaign finance trial.
There was speculation that his illegitimate baby’s mama might take the stand in his defense but who knows why that never happened?
Maybe his attorneys were afraid he might accidentally call her a crazy slut again??
The prosecution spent weeks tearing into the former senator for allegedly using constituent cash to fund trysts with his Rielle Hunter. It SEEMED like she might be a good witness to refute those claims but we guess John is content playing the “at least I didn’t bang any Colombian hookers!” defense.
Lawyers make closing arguments Thursday and then his fate lies with a jury of his peers.
If the jury karma convicts him on all counts, John could spend the next 30 years thinking about all he done wrong!
There isn’t much of a silver lining here, save to say his late wife Elizabeth never had to witness the lion’s share of all this drama.

Donald Trump's war on liberals gay icons continues!
The famous republican, who has been feuding with Rosie O'Donnell for the past SIX YEARS, is now picking fights with Cher.
It all started yesterday when the diva tweeted some not so nice things about his secret lover Mitt Romney. She wrote:
“If ROMNEY gets elected I don’t know if I can breathe same air as Him & his Right Wing Racist Homophobic Women Hating Tea Bagger Masters.”
In the spirt of sharing opinions, Mr Trump wrote:
“@Cher attached @MittRomney. She is an average talent who is out of touch with reality. Like @ Rosie O’Donnell, a total loser!"
Classic Trump! VERY professional and VERY mature!
The Donald decided to bring his class act over to Fox News Channel, were he told Greta Van Susteren:
"I’ve watched her over the years, I knew her a little bit and, you know, she reminds me of Rosie with slightly more talent. Not much more talent, but slightly more talent.”

The openly gay singer came on CBS's Face the Nation over the weekend to talk about North Carolina's Amendment One AND the President's endorsement of marriage equality.
Clay spoke eloquently as he dropped knowledge about the sentiments the citizens of his home state have toward gay marriage.
He told the political commentators:
"The polls in North Carolina show that over 60 percent of North Carolinians actually support some recognition for same-sex couples, be it civil unions or domestic partnerships. As North Carolinians see what it's done, and what it will do, I think they will support the fact that President Obama did speak out on principal...I think we'd like to see politicians speak out on principle a little bit more."
DAMN STRAIGHT! Well, not straight. LOL!

After President Obama came clean with his thoughts, Jay-Z added his support, and now the Fresh Prince is fervent about equal rights too!!
While promoting Men in Black Drei 3 in Germany yesterday, Will told reporters:
“If anybody can find someone to love them and to help them through this difficult thing that we call life, I support that in any shape or form."
We agree completely!!
He also pointed out that the Perezident’s decision to speak up was “brave” in an election year.
If you like his idea so much, why don’t you just go ahead and marry it, LOLz!!
We’re super duper stoked that so many role-models and cultural icons are FINALLY speaking up for a discriminated against minority!!
