The MTV owned network has just picked up 60-Minute Superstar, a new music competition reality series.
The show is described as:
"A fast-paced music competition series, which plucks unsuspecting singers out of their everyday lives to give them a shot at stardom. The aspiring singers will be secretly nominated by loved ones, neighbors, friends and co-workers. In each episode, three leading music producers will sift through the submissions with each selecting one 'diamond in the rough' singer to transform."
And by "transform" they mean fly out to Hollywood, give them a make-over, vocal and dance lessons, and then throw them on stage for America to gawk at.
Every episode, three musicians will undergo this kidnapping / musical bootcamp. At the end of the show, the three contestants will perform -- but only ONE will go on to compete in the next round.
The goal is to make it to the final stage where the transformed will have a sing-off for a grand prize (that has yet TBA).
The concept sounds a little cheesy, but this could be entertaining!

Media extraordinaire Wendy Williams celebrated a VERY special occasion on her show today -- her 500th episode!!!
For a show that originally was only given SIX weeks to prove it had what it took to stay on air, we'd say that's a pretty HUGE accomplishment!
We mentioned yesterday that Wendy would be commemorating this event with none other than Paula Abdul -- who dished on everything from why she left American Idol to the whole X Factor shuffle...and of course, how she REALLY feels about Simon Cowell!

Looks like Idol is pulling out ALL the stops for their season 11 finale tonight!
While we previously mentioned that Kristin Chenoweth will be performing Donna Summer’s Enough Is Enough with Barbra Streisand finalist Jessica Sanchez, that’s just the beginning for the show’s performances!
The girl finalists will hit the stage with an all-out Donna tribute and will be joined by Gloria Gaynor, Thelma Houston, Gladys Knight, Nelly Furtado, Sheila E. and Jennifer Holliday!
After the recent passing of Robin Gibb this past weekend, the season 11 boys will be paying tribute as well, by singing a medley of Bee Gees songs.
Chaka Khan will also be singing with the girls in a group performance and the boys will be graced by Neil Diamond’s presence for a number!
Other guest stars slated to perform with the Idols?
John Fogerty will join Phillip Phillips in a duet, Reba McEntire will pair up with Skylar Laine and Season 3 Idol winner Fantasia will duet with her "Mantasia," Joshua Ledet!

Well, her ATL Mansion's garage was on fire!
But thankfully, the blaze has been stifled and everyone is OK.
The fire, stemming from an ATV did not spread, and caused minimal damage.
The Real Housewife of Atlanta Kim Zolciak tweeted her appreciation for the local fire department's quick response:
While flames consuming your shi* is always a terrifying experience, the incident could give Kim material for her next song!

The wide receiver is the THIRD football star to win the competition and he did it in what is being called "the most competitive season ever!"
Along with his partner Peta Murgatroyd, Driver beat favorites William Levy and Katherine Jenkins for the mirrorball trophy.

The test results numbers are back in from Sunday’s premiere and THREE MILLION people tuned in to find out whether or not Khloe was a genuine Kardashian!
Still, ratings were up all across the board for Keeping Up with the Kardashians in what ended up being the show’s highest rated premiere ever!!
All key demographics witnessed a proportionate bump of around 16-23 percent and we are pretty sure it had everything to do with Kourtney continually referencing her baby bump fueled sex drive!
In other news, Sony and Samsung stock owners experienced a windfall from the bump in sales after three million people simultaneously chucked their remotes through their screens Sunday night when Khloe REFUSED TO TAKE THE DNA TEST!!!
Okay, we made that last part up but Khloe and Kris Jenner's contrived reunion was pretty frustrating, right?

Britney Spears may have demanded a cool $15 million to appear on the second season judges panel of X Factor come fall, but to be fair, her backstage demands for the reality competition aren't too bad, in our opinion!
According to sources, the pop star requires six 24-pack cases of Diet Coke, 10 snack-sized bags of Doritos, 10 pieces of chicken, four pints of potato salad, and 12 Snickers bars backstage for she and her team every week!
What can we say? She's a southern gurl, after all!
Furthermore, she'd also like 12 vases of magnolia blossoms for her dressing room, 34 Herve Leger dresses, and a beauty team consisting of a personal manicurist, a facialist and a massage therapist!
