Sandra Bullock And Melissa McCarthy Partner Up For New Cop Movie

Today we have learned from Variety that a new cop movie is in the works and they have cast Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy as the two leads. Sandra is a cop movie veteran, having perfected the genre in the Miss Congeniality films, and Bridesmaids star, Melissa, is a newbie to the type of role. The yet to be titled movie follows the strained working relationship between a high-strung FBI agent, played by Sandra, and an unconventional Boston cop, Melissa, who team up to take down a Russian gangster. Do you like this pairing?

Sandra is definitely a pro at playing the female cop, and even loves police so much she poses with them on the streets (as she did in this pic). In all seriousness though, it makes sense that they have cast her in this flick given that she is so familiar with the type of role. Personally, I’m more excited about Melissa McCarthy in this movie because I think she will be brilliant as the “unconventional cop.” I also love how she challenges herself with the kinds of roles she goes for. We are SO thrilled to tell you Melissa McCarthy and Bridesmaids director Paul Feig are joining comedic forces once again ...WITH SANDRA BULLOCK!!

The funny ladies will star in a buddy cop movie all about a "high-strung FBI agent and an unconventional Boston cop."

OMG... we're just imagining the scenarios that can play out with this... ha!! This is gonna be HIGHlarious!!

And since Parks and Rec writer Katie Dippold is writing the script, that should guarantee your excitement too!!

Sandra Bullock And George Clooney’s Gravity Gets DELAYED!

Damn! We had wondered why we hadn't heard much about this project for a while!

Although Alfonso Cuarón's Gravity was originally set to premiere on November 21st of this year, the 3D sci-fi project starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney has been reportedly delayed by Warner Brothers until 2013!

No official word on why, but sources close to the production - which tells the story of two astrounats stranded in open space after their station is destroyed in asteroid debris - claim that execs wanted to ensure that it gets the best possible reception, and would rather debut it when other films, like The Hobbit, Skyfall, and Breaking Dawn Part 2, aren't dominating the box office!

Hey! We don't blame them!

This movie, frankly, sounds incredible, and with the excess of talent in the cast and crew alone, we wouldn't want to see it get pushed aside for more sparkly vampires, ahem, 'mainstream' fare!

Jesse James: Watch Him Build Things!

We’ve only dared to dream about the sexy hunk of pure man-flesh that is Jesse James building some metallic shiz, glistening in a sheen of sweat, reeking of a heady musk...

BUT, if the above fantasy IS part of your nightly musings, then YOU ARE IN LUCK because the Discovery Channel has greenlit four episodes of Jesse James: Outlaw Garage!

The show will follow Sandra Bullock's ex as he builds custom hogs and cars in the Austin Speed Shop in Texas, and he is pretty confident viewers will enjoy watching him work:

"People like to see me build stuff. The further away from that concept I go, the less popular it is. Let's just go back to basics and build custom bikes and custom cars again."

No air date is set, but we’re sure America won’t have to wait too long to see that body in many, many soaked-through white tees.

Sandra Bullock and Brett Ratner: Dating?

Are Sandra Bullock and director/notorious playboy Brett Ratner engaged in a "dangerous" romance? One tabloid would certainly have you believe it, but no.

This week, In Touch ran a cover with a laughing Bullock and Ratner Photoshopped atop her, with the headline reading, "SANDRA'S RISKY NEW ROMANCE."

The caption: "Two years after her divorce, she's opened her heart and learned to trust again. But will dating Hollywood's biggest player end in heartbreak?"

Turns out the only thing Bullock is doing with Ratner is issuing statements.

Bullock and Ratner issued the following statement to The Huffington Post, deriding the magazine while firmly denying any claims of a romantic connection:

"We think that it's incredibly sad that in these times, this magazine would resort to a complete fabrication, solely for financial gain," the twosome said.

"There is not a shred of accuracy in their story ... We have not seen nor spoken to each for over a decade. We both had a great time after the Oscars."
