Remember when Simon Cowell picked Britney Spears as his prized X Factor judge (even though Mariah Carey was reportedly in the running)?

And remember when Mariah, when asked about Simon's decision the same day, responded shortly with:

"You think I focus on that stuff? Have we met? I love [Spears], honestly. I think she's a very nice person, but I don't care who's going on that show - as long as it's not me."

Well.... according to MiMi, there is NO bad blood... only bad jokes!

As soon as she realized her comment left a lot of room for interpretation, she took to the stand Twitter to make it right, tweet-tweeting:

"@BritneySpears & @SimonCowell of course I luv+care about you dahhlings, congrats! U never know what's true or gossip, I was joking around!"

Welp!! If she really meant any malice, she wouldn't be trying so hard to cover it up. MiMi doesn't need anyone's love she doesn't want, that's for sure!!

So we believe she didn't say it with bad intentions... just not a whole lot of tact. Hey, it happens!

Ryan Seacrest Gets One Over On Simon Cowell!

Cowell-Seacrest feud? Still ON!

The Hollywood Reporter recently released their top 50 picks for the most powerful players in reality TV! Some choices are expected, while others, the average reality TV viewer might not ever have even heard of!

Looks like Simon Cowell's longtime rival and frenemy, Ryan Seacrest, beat him out for the top spot this year!!

While the list ranked the Idol host and Keeping Up With The Kardashians producer as number one, the X Factor creator/mentor/producer was bumped to number eight!

Ouch! That's sure to bruise Cowell's ego, LOLz! We're sure Simon is ignoring every and any call from Ry today!!

Second on the list? While he might not be a household name like Seacrest or Cowell, Paul Telegdy has contributed to the unscripted genre in the form of The Voice and America's Got Talent, as the President of alternative and late-night programming for NBC.

Telegdy beats out Mike Darnell, President of alternative programming for Fox, who came in at number three and even the CEO of the production company that brings us The Voice, Mark Burnett!

Jennifer Lopez Dances Again Her Way To Power!

Mz. Jennifer Lopez is bringing in the cash and cashing in on this year's Forbes World's Most Powerful Celebrities list! But don't be fooled (by the rocks that she's got, got) -- she's still Jenny from the block!

From On The 6 to America's hit TV show, J.Lo tops this year's list at numero uno, for her "career reincarnation" and for earning $52 million over the last 12 months!!

The annual list is based on money AND fame, with fame being defined as media visibility and social media presence!

While Oprah stays snuggled in at second place like last year, Justin Bieber follows right after the talk show legend, ranking at number 3 and earning $55 million.

Pretty impressive!

Though second (second is the best...?), Oprah STILL ranks as number one in TV/Radio AND in earnings, making $165 million in just this past year!!!

Rihanna comes in at number four, with one million more in earnings than J.Lo, while Lady Gaga dropped from number one last year to number five in 2012, making just as much as Lopez.

Simon Cowell: Getting Britney Spears Was A Battle!

Oh, she's worth it!!

Booking Britney Spears and Demi Lovato as new X Factor judges, may have been the all-time best decision Simon Cowell EVER made!

We all know fabulous things do NOT come easy. So, it's not shocking that getting Brit to sign on the dotted line was tough a freak'n battle!

After making the big announcement, Cowell admited:

“Right up until today, I wasn't 100 percent sure it was going to happen or not. Because when you're negotiating with people like that who are big stars, you don’t just sign the contract overnight. There's stuff you've got to sort out."

And by "stuff" he means dealing with Brit Brit's team! Cowell continues:

“I remember her manager, Larry, saying, ‘Britney wants to speak to you’ and about a week had passed and she got on the phone and said ‘Simon, I want to tell you I'm in, and we have a deal.’ [Her manager] said, ‘We haven’t quite got a deal yet!'... She spoke too soon.”

HA!

Mz Spears may not be a great at playing hardball, but Simon is confident in her ability to get along with the other judges. He confesses:

Nigel Lythgoe begs to differ!

Demi Lovato and Britney Spears are the new X Factor panelists but negative Nigel tells the world he never would’ve picked them to do Idol.

That's right -- Nigel would do anything for his beloved show... but he won't do that! He insists:

"I hadn't ever considered them. I always like mentors who have a lot more experience."

Ouch! Tell us how you really feel!!

He admitted the two ladies might have a few salient pearls of wisdom to impart on younger contestants, since each dealt with child stardom.

He added:

"These two ladies have had so much personal experience; it'll be interesting. I like someone who's been there and knows the whole gamut of what these kids are going through and help them through."

Hmmmm.

Remember when Nigel smacked down Simon Cowell a few months ago and then banned mention of The Voice?

Some people fear Britney Spears could have a nervous break-down on live X Factor television. But not Simon Cowell!

(As he shouldn't since BritBrit has clearly become an example of tranquility for us all! Ha!)

As he was leaving ABC Kitchen with Demi Lovato last night, he calmly told the awaiting paparazzi when asked whether or not he had any concerns about Britney, "Not at all. Not at all."

He even had a little smile... because it's SO funny thinking that ANYTHING Britney could do would hurt the show. Pshh... she could just sit there eating cheetos and the ratings would still drip in like the sweat from I'm A Slave 4 U!!
