Watch: Beyoncé Performs ‘Run The World (Girls)’ On ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’

Yesterday we got to watch video of Beyoncé‘s amazing performance of Run the World (Girls) from the 2011 Billboard Music Awards Sunday night. Today we get to see Bey perform the song at the United Center in Chicago, IL during part 1 of Surprise, Oprah! A Farewell Spectacular on The Oprah Winfrey Show which aired yesterday. This performance is different from the one she performed at the BMAs but it is just as hot, just as impressive. Check it out below.

As you may recall, a source divulged to me ahead of time that Beyoncé would not only be performing on The Oprah Winfrey Show but that she would be bringing along with her 60 backup dancers. I was very curious to see how that performance turned out and B did NOT disappoint. I know some people don’t like this song but I really like it … it’s infectious and once I hear it, it’s in my head for the rest of the day. I am so impressed with Beyoncé‘s dancing for this song … homegirl is killn’ it! I’m not sure which performance I like better, this one or the one from the BMA (Read more...)

Oprah Winfey’s All-Time Favorite Guest Is…

Not a celebrity or a politician or a person who found real fame and fortune after meeting the famed talk show host. Oprah Winfrey's all-time favorite guest is a woman, not an average one by any means, but one who, as Oprah puts it "encapsulates the essence of every lesson we’ve shared over the past 25 years."

On Friday's show, the last Friday show ever for Oprah, she revealed that her favorite guest of all time was Dr. Tererai Trent. A Zimbabwean woman who was denied an education all her life, was married at 11, had three children by 18, and whose husband beat her every day. It was her dream to leave her life behind, move to America for an education and earn a PhD. By the time she first appeared on Oprah two years ago, she had accomplished all those things.

As Dr. Trent and Big O regaled about their time together and Dr. Trent's harrowing life story, she revealed to O that her new dream is to build a school in her home of Zimbabwe, so other children could be privy to an education she wasn't. That's when Oprah had her look under her seat (Read more...)

A Host Of Celebrity Guests Celebrate The End Of ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’

Pink Is The New Blog

Last Sunday, I posted a list of celebrity guests that was rumored for the final episodes of The Oprah Winfrey Show and last night, that list panned out completely. Altho more guests appeared on the Oprah Extravaganza than was reported, every person on that list was in attendance at the taping in Chicago, IL yesterday … and what an extravaganza it was. Oprah was paid tribute to by some of the world’s most famous people … so many celebs that the episode will be shown over 2 days (with the absolute final episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show featuring no guests at all … just Oprah and her audience). Check out below some photos and many deets below of Oprah‘s big night in Chicago last night.

Oprah Winfrey kicked off one of her last-ever national talk shows today with hugs from Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise and Madonna in a packed Chicago arena. ‘She’s a self-made woman who’s been at the top of her game for over 25 years – and she’s still kicking ass,’ Madonna told a delighted audience of about 13,000 as a stunned-looking Winfrey stood beside her onstage. The show, was taped on Tuesday for airing (Read more...)

Rumor Has It That The Oprah Winfrey Show Will Feature A LONG List Of Final Guests

Published on May 15, 2011 By

Pink Is The New Blog

On Friday we learned of a report that claims that Will and Jada Pinkett Smith will be the final guests on The Oprah Winfrey Show … today, a little bird tells me that Will and Jada will not only be the final guests but they will be a pair of MANY final guests on The Oprah Winfrey Show. A source dishes to me that The final ep will tape in Chicago, IL at the United Center in front of 15,000 people (the massive stage will be set up tonight as soon as the Bulls vs. Heat basketball game is finished). Tom Hanks and Tom Cruise will host the final episode and Oprah will be completely surprised by the parade of guests who will come out to honor her. Wanna know who is rumored to be in attendance? Read on below.

Here’s the list of celebs who I’m told will appear on the show during the taping of the final episode of The Oprah Winfrey show on Tuesday:

Madonna
Stevie Wonder
Will & Jada Smith
Beyoncé plus 60 dancers
Maya Angelou
Alicia Keys
Halle Barry
300 Morehouse Graduates (who Oprah helped with college scholarships)
Dr. Phil
Dr. Oz
Rascal Flats

Will & Jada Pinkett-Smith Will Reportedly Be The Final Guests On ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’

Published on May 13, 2011 By

Pink Is The New Blog

With less than 10 eps left until The Oprah Winfrey Show goes off the air for good, rumor and speculation is running rampant as to who the final guests will be. According to a new report, that MUST be taken with a grain of salt as there is NO confirmation whatsoever, Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith are said to be Oprah‘s chosen final guests. IMHO, Oprah could’ve gotten someone bigger (almost anyone really) but if this report turns out to be true, Will and Jada will have the distinction of being the last guests ever on The Oprah Show.

There has been much speculation over who will be given the honour of being Oprah Winfrey’s last ever guest as her show comes to a close after 25 years. And if recent reports are to be believed, the ‘chosen ones’ to appear on the May 25 show are going to be Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith. Fans and media reports have been trying to guess who will make the last entrance on the talk show titan’s stage but The Daily reports it will be the Smiths. Options had included Oprah’s long term boyfriend Stedman Graham, couch-jumper (Read more...)

Who Are Oprah’s First Two Series Finale Guests?

Really?

The American public has been anxiously awaiting the announcement of whom the Big O will be hosting as her guests on the upcoming, much-anticipated series finale of The Oprah Winfrey Show, and the first two have just been revealed to be…Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett!

The pair are pretty much known to be two of the talk show queen's favorite guests, so we're not too surprised that they'll be there to say good-bye on May 25th, but we were kind of anticipating a little more of a spectacle!

However, we have a feeling that gurlfriend has some tricks and surprises still up her sleeve, so we're not too concerned!

What do U think The Big O has planned for her last episode??

And The Nominees For The Daytime Emmys Are…

Published on May 11, 2011 By

Perez Hilton

You know, we just had a thought.

While looking over the nominees for this years Daytime Emmy awards, it occurred to us that this might be the last time they even have the Daytime Emmys! Think about it - most of the shows nominated have be CANCELED!

All My Children, One Life to Live, The Oprah Winfrey Show - all of them will be gone this time next year! Granted, there will still be a lot of competition in the talk show category, but if AMC is seeing its last days, how much longer will The Bold and The Beautiful last. Or The Young and the Restless. The time of daytime soaps maybe finally coming to close.

So, here's our point: if you are fan of daytime television, you should really enjoy the telecast this year and applaud the nominees. If things keep going the way they are, there won't be that much daytime T.V. to celebrate. Sad, but true.

Anyway, check out the full list of nominess this year after the jump. General Hospital took the lead with 21 Emmy nominations, followed closely by The Young and the Restless with 20. AMC and OLTL got 13 and (Read more...)
