Uh oh! Some members of the LGBT community may not be too enthusiastic to watch the new season of RuPaul's Drag Race after this!
Openly gay celebs like Neil Patrick Harris and Lance Bass have apologized for using the term "tranny" in the past, but you'll never hear the most famous drag queen of them all apologizing for dropping the T-bomb!
During an interview to promote his Logo reality show, RuPaul responded to some current controversies within the gay community. While addressing the former N'SYNC singer's apology for using the derogatory term as a guest host on Access Hollywood, the drag queen said:
"It's ridiculous! It's ridiculous!... I love the word "tranny"...And I hate the fact that he's apologized. I wish he would have said, 'F-you, you tranny jerk!'"
When asked for his opinion on the ABC sitcom Work It, which has been criticized for mocking transgender women, RuPaul shared:
"Don't take life so seriously... We live in a culture where everyone is offended by everything."

We REALLY hope this is the last time we hear about David engaging in such deplorable behavior!
Earlier today, we heard that The Fighter director David O. Russell was questioned by police for feeling up his pre-op transgender relative Nicholas Peloquin.
Now, a rep for the Broward County Sheriff's Office in Florida has announced that David won't be charged with anything over the incident.
Here's why he'll get off the hook, according to the rep:
"...Because it's an allegation of simple battery that was not witnessed by law enforcement."
Peloquin COULD still bring the case to the State's Attorney...but it's looking like that probably won't happen at this point.
David should feel VERY lucky that he's not getting in trouble for this...although it's certainly going to hurt his reputation. We'll definitely think twice before we go see his upcoming movies Nailed and The Silver Linings Playbook.

According to a police report, The Fighter director David O. Russell was NOT behaving appropriately with his pre-op transgender relative Nicholas Peloquin last week.
As it goes, David was working out at a Florida hotel gym with his mother's 19-year-old adopted brother, when he offered to help Nicholas "with ab exercises."
While doing so, David's hand was reportedly above Nicholas' "private parts," and from there his hands moved under Nicholas' top and he "felt both breasts."
Following the incident, Nicholas admitted to police that he didn't tell David to stop...but he felt uncomfortable.
As for David, he claimed his mother's adopted brother was "acting very provocative towards him," and he claimed the "had asked Peloquin several times if he was uncomfortable and he did not ask him to not touch him."
Do us a favor, and STOP sexually harassing your relatives, David! Just because he's transgender, that does NOT give U an excuse to feel him up out of curiosity! Ugh.

Warren Beatty and Annette Bening's son, Stephen, was born a girl named Kathlyn, and although the actor was reportedly having a difficult time accepting that his child is transgender, The National Enquirer is reporting that he has finally come around, and celebrated him with the entire family in Hollywood before Christmas!
An insider explains:
“While Annette has always accepted Stephen’s transition, Warren struggled with it. Warren never stopped loving their child, but he had plenty of issues and fears to overcome. The bottom line is he missed his little girl. But he’s finally resigned himself to the fact that one day Stephen will probably have gender-reassignment surgery and legally become a boy. Warren still slips up and calls Stephen ‘her’ or by his birth name Kathlyn. But the bottom line is he’s totally onboard with his child’s new lifestyle. The dinner was an unofficial public display that he’s proud of his family, especially Stephen, for having the courage to be who he truly is.”
That truly is so touching.
We know that it must be quite an adjustment, and be a very confusing time for parents, but ultimately, we're glad (Read more...)
Not only is Owen Middleton going through a transgender process, but he is also showing everyone in the world the transition -- while spreading awareness and just down-right awesome human beingness as well!
Being so young, it's unfortunate that Owen already knows so much about the misunderstanding people have about the process and the people undergoing that process.
Owen is doing his part to educate those willing to listen.
He educates on everything from the differences between sex, sexuality, and gender, to discussing his feelings and physical changes testosterone therapy is producing.
It's straightforward, it's honest, and it's incredible. We applaud everything you're doing, Owen, and we wish you nothing but the best in life and with your change!
This is such a momentous step in the right direction.

The gay community should feel some pride for the Obama administration as the President issued a memorandum today announcing that the U.S. will use a wide-range of efforts to promote rights for gay and lesbians around the world. President Obama has direct his U.S. agencies abroad to being using tactics to compact attempts by foreign governments to criminalize homosexuality and to give much needed assistance to gay refugees seeking asylum from their governments.
In a statement about his new initiative, Obama said:
"The struggle to end discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender persons is a global challenge, and one that is central to the United States' commitment to promoting human rights."
Amen!
Leading the charge for this new policy is U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who spoke in Geneva today to a group of follow diplomats about changing cultural practices or religious tradition that cause endangerment to the gay community. Khloe Kardashian is being sued by a transgender woman who claims that she assaulted her outside the Hollywood nightclub Playhouse two years ago.
Chantal Spears filed a lawsuit, claiming she needed medical attention after Khloe allegedly "violently" attacked her, causing serious injuries and "sever mental anguish."
Spears says she told Khloe's husband Lamar Odom that he was "too young to get married," which prompted Khloe to strike her "in and about her body."
An insider says the claims are not true, adding:
"This was two years ago and Khloe did nothing. This person shoved Khloe and she pushed them off. This person just wants to jump on the bandwagon."
We're really, really hoping this isn't true because we'd be sooo disappointed in Khloe. Why did it take this woman 2 years to file the lawsuit though?? Something sounds shady here...

According to the National Enquirer, Chaz Bono will die by 2015.
This is blatantly not true, and Chaz is rightfully pissed about it.
The article says that according to a doctor and expert, his weight combined with stress and his gender reassignment meds that it'll lead to an early death. Early meaning by 2015.
So Chaz and his legal team sent a letter to the tabloid and told them to print a retraction:
"The salacious and inflammatory headline and article were crafted for the malicious purpose of discriminating against our client's gender and sexual orientation. Further, the statements you attribute to Dr. Patrick Wanis and your depiction of him as a medical doctor specializing in transgender health issues are highly misleading and blatantly false."
Not sure how you can get away with claims like that, and this is exactly why Chaz is demanding a retraction.
He deserves one, and beyond that -- he'll sue if he doesn't get one!
