Now that the world has fallen in love with The Hulk again, thanks to the stunning success of the big screen adaptation of The Avengers, Disney/Marvel is lookin’ to capitalize on the rekindled love affair. Back in the late 70s/early 80s, CBS aired the TV series The Incredible Hulk. This week, Disney-owned ABC has announced plans to bring The Hulk back to TV. The show won’t be hitting the air this year but it’s deffo on track to debut next year.

ABC and Marvel haven’t produced any live-action series since Marvel became part of the Disney empire — but that could change in the next year or so. ABC Entertainment president Paul Lee says an Incredible Hulk series is still in development at the network, and Marvel will also “develop aggressively” for other networks as well. A series based on The Punisher was set up at FOX this season but didn’t get to the pilot stage. “Of course we’re immensely proud to be in a company with ‘The Avengers,’” Lee says. “… ‘The Hulk’ is in development. It wasn’t going to be ready for this season, but we hope it will be ready for next (Read more...)
After the drawn out process, and massive excitement, over the casting of the new judging panel on The X Factor, today we have learned that American Idol may soon need to find their own new judge to replace Jennifer Lopez. J.Lo has done two seasons of Idol and yesterday on The Ellen DeGeneres Show she revealed that she might not be coming back for a third.

Jennifer appeared on Ellen, alongside fellow cast mate, Cameron Diaz, to promote their latest film, What to Expect When You’re Expecting. After conversation moved on from their new movie, Ellen asked J.Lo if she is signing onto another season as a judge on Idol. This is what she had to say…
“I really do enjoy it… Now this is my second year — I don’t know if I can go for a third year. I miss doing other things. It really does lock you down, which was nice the first year with the babies being three, but now they’re getting more mobile, they’re about to go into school… So I just don’t know.”
Oy! I have actually really liked J.Lo as a judge on Idol, I think (Read more...)

And down below we have a handful of dedicated actors here to share with you the joys of their new paychecks!! Ch-ch-check 'em ouuutttt ... AFTER THE JUMP!!

Last week President Barack Obama announced to the world that he supports marriage equality in this country. This week, he appeared on The View and was asked point blank about the possibility of his administration pushing to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act. After giving a very well-articulated answer, he went ahead and first clarified that his administration is no longer defending DOMA because he believes it to be unconstitutional and then went on to say that one of the goals of his second presidential term is to push for the formal repeal of DOMA. To this, I say, WOOT!

President Barack Obama touched on his recent announcement of support for same-sex marriage, saying at a New York City fundraising event Monday that he believes marriage equality “strengthens families.” “I want everyone treated fairly in this country. We have never gone wrong when we’ve extended rights and responsibilities to everybody,” he said, drawing big applause. “That doesn’t weaken families, that strengthens families.” Obama highlighted some of his administration’s work in recent years, including the passage of health care reform and the end of combat in Iraq. He also outlined goals he hopes to accomplish under a second (Read more...)

Because it was such a huge success, another episode devoted to the music of Britney Spears was promised for 2011 but it never came to be. At the Fox Up Fronts event in NYC yesterday, the network announced not only that Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Hudson will guest star on the show’s upcoming 4th season but that a second Britney Spears tribute ep is coming our way … for real this time :)

Today we get to see the first official trailer for the forthcoming season and we get a better sense of what the season will be like. Check it out below.
The moment that we Britney Spears fans have been hoping for (and maybe dared not dream of) has finally come. Glee’s new season will have some great new guest stars which will really amp up the star quality of the Fox hit series. Today we have learned that Kate Hudson and Sarah Jessica Parker are set to guest star in the upcoming fourth season. SJP will be appearing in a multi-episode arc, and Kate has been signed onto a six-episode arc. This will be SJP’s big return to TV since Sex and the City.

Although he kept specific plot points under wraps, Reilly says Glee is “poised for a real creative renaissance. Several characters are graduating, we’re going to have a show within a show, following some characters to New York to a school for the arts.” We’re assuming he means Rachel (Lea Michele), Finn (Cory Monteith) and Kurt (Chris Colfer), so fingers crossed all three seniors get into their dream schools. “Glee is really positioned for a strong year,” Reilly adds.
It certainly does look like Glee is setting themselves up for a strong fourth season. Both SJP and Kate Hudson are great guest stars, and it will be interesting to see whether they both showcase their singing voices in their respective episodes. I would be keen to (Read more...)
