While we do not condone the piracy of music, everyone knows the RIAA's bully tactics and lawsuits are shady.
They try and make examples of people, and claim outlandish damages, when in reality they're not solving the problem what-so-ever.
Joel Tenenbaum, a 28-year-old student who just graduated from a Boston University grad program, knows all about this.
He was ordered by courts to pay a ridiculous $675,000 for illegally downloading and sharing 30 songs on the Internet.
His appeal for a reduced amount has just been denied, but that's not going to stop him. He says:
"I can't believe the system would uphold a six-figure damages amount for downloading 30 songs on a file-sharing system that everybody used. I can't believe the court would uphold something that ludicrous."
His lawyer even tried to get it reduced to the 99 cents per song it would cost to download the files legally. That's pretty crazy too, as it IS a crime, but it should be nowhere near six figures!
The crazy thing? A federal judge called the penalty unconstitutionally excessive and reduced the award to $67,500 -- but the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals later reinstated it! WTF!

HBO and Disruptor Beam Studios just hatched a dragon deal that will not contain the adult-themed material in the show, but promises to let players, 'venture through the ranks in order to achieve greatness by exploring the land and utilizing strategy to overcome the odds.'
Sounds boring.

After bailing herself out, the "PSYCHO STALKER" apparently asked police to follow her over to Feldman’s residence and watch her gather her belongings.

We had no idea one of the highest grossing animated features of all-time almost never made it out of the gate!
When Pixar was nearly finished with Toy Story 2, a nameless employee accidentally tripped some sort of self-destruct sequence on the company’s hard drive and they lost HUGE chunks of data -- which, in a computer generated film, is everything.
The files containing Woody and a few of the films most memorable sequences were inadvertently deleted and the company feared they lost over a year’s worth of work and millions of dollars.
In the video (above), the creative team recounts the strangely exhilarating tale of the film that almost never was.
As Buzz Lightyear would say:
“One minute you're defending the whole galaxy, and, suddenly, you find yourself sucking down darjeeling with Marie Antoinette... and her little sister.”
Thankfully, a work-from-home Mom had a backup of the whole film on her home computer and
we Toy Story fans never knew the difference!

It was a little over a year ago that our heart sang with joy to learn that SyFy was working on an incredible new monster feature known as Piranhaconda, which stars Michael Madsen and Rachel Hunter as members of "a low-budget horror movie crew, inept kidnappers and a reptile expert" who "battle a monstrous anaconda/piranha hybrid in the Amazon jungle."
Well, feast your eyes on a just-released new teaser trailer, featuring all of that, as well as some pretty incredible shots of the beastie getting into all sorts of shenanigans with scantily clad women in the jungle (above)!
And it sounds as though this one's going to have some BABIES to help it with its havoc-wreaking!

And while they were there, Chace thought it was time to really celebrate Anna's birthday. So he buys her a stripper!! But it's not just any ordinary stripper...
Anna explains :
We went to the Claremont Lounge, which is like an Atlanta institution. It's sort of hilarious: they have, like, 60-year-old women who are strippers. And that's awesome. This woman dressed as Little Bo Peep came up to me and said, 'This guy just bought you a lap dance because it's your birthday!' And I didn't really know how to respectfully say, 'No thank you, madam, I'm fine,' I felt like I might hurt her feeling, so I got a lap dance from a 60-year-old woman!"
LOL!!!!! OMG WE CAN'T EVEN IMAGINE!!!
But Anna is such a champ, we know she made that woman's night, ha!!!

Phew! We were really getting worried there for a sec!
Nick Stahl has been freaking everyone out ever since his estranged wife reported him missing.
Though some sources didn't think it was that big of a deal, others were fearing his new residence on Skid Row.
We were actually hoping for the best -- imagining he had gone all Leonardo DiCaprio a la The Beach.
But nope! He's just on his way to rehab... or so an email sent from his account says...
He promises friends he's only getting treatment and will be out of commission for the next 30 days. Some of those friends are still skeptical, though... hmmm....
By the way, his wife was NOT on that email chain, ha!

Nick Stahl is STILL missing and nobody really seems too worried about it.
His wife filed a missing person report with the LAPD on Monday, but they don't seem to think it's that serious of an issue. The detective overseeing the investigation told sources:
"Were not treating it like a crime. We're not pounding the pavement or knocking on doors on this one, just networking."
So basically...they don't care! Maybe for good reason though, as the detective continued to explain:
"Certain factors are contributing to him being missing. There's really nothing mysterious about it."
Last we heard, a friend spotted him carrying boxes outside an apartment complex in West Hollywood on May 10.
Even though his wife was concerned Nick had gotten involved in some dirty dealings, the sources who saw him shrugged off his disappearance by saying, "He does this sometimes. He'll be back."
Let's hope so! We really wish he would just call someone and let them know he's okay.
